yesterday evening merging onto the highway I heard a palpable *smack* on my glass. and a few seconds later I saw the chip and start of a crack right in the middle of the passenger side. I was not tailgating either. this damned rock must have fallen from the sky. went to jiffy lube and they injected it competently, now you can hardly see it.
Finished doing some 3m PPF wrap on the metal window trim thing, now I don't have to worry about polishing them and dealing with whatever builds up on them.
Had the Eibach front and rear sway bars installed and set to soft setting once the missing bushing was quickly expedited over. Paired with Super Pro endlinks (went with these over Whiteline since some users reported issues with Whiteline being too short especially for lowered cars)
ATQ collars still a good quality of life upgrade IMO, and more noticeable for straight line driving / bumpy roads. The sways have significantly reduced body roll as expected and make the car drive much more sharp. I will also mention there's no perceivable change in ride quality for the sways.
Only con is the temptation to take all turns quickly.... and noticing that many other drivers go too damn slow on the same turns
10/10 upgrade for sure. The Stinger would have been even more well received had it come with upgraded sways from the factory.
I love the red! So jealous, I really want those turn signals. $600+ is ridiculously steep for them though. The 2022 refresh really cleans up my gripe with the rear end. Need to get my light bar installed properly.
walking away from my car the sunlight really picked out the wheel weights residue from previous balancing. it looked really scabby and bugged enough finally to make me attack it. tried the wd40 trick first and although that worked it wasn't fast enough to satisfy me. fetched acetone and it cleaned up pretty quickly. did all four wheels, but that lr wheel that got my attention was the worst by far. now, all four wheels look spiffed up with no tape glue exposed.

So I picked my GT2 up from getting a Gyeon coat this morning, then put in the jb4 after installing HKS plugs and a RaceChip XLR controller last night. Holy Moses! I think I definitely need to get a radar detector. Anyone have any tips on what I am supposed to do with the logging? I just ripped it down some back roads to see what it was all about. I only used map2, kinda scared to use map3 unless I have a little more space and a lot less corn fields around the road.
Got some new tires this weekend: replaced my worn Continental Extreme Contact Sport with the new ECS 02. I've used the previous summer tires a couple times now so I'm curious how this updated version will stack up against its predecessor.
Unfortunately, I haven't had time to go on a nice drive to push it or examine the ride quality, but I hope to soon. They seem really nice on the two short trips I've done so far.

Question... How easy was this and what was the process? I was considering maybe doing a vinyl wrap the same color as the smoke chrome of the mirrors/grille trim for those often-oxidized metal trim pieces on the doors, but have never done a wrap before.

It's pretty easy considering you can remove the trim from the doors, the only one I didn't want to attempt to remove was the trim by the rear windshield because I broke 1 tab on the passenger side and had to 3M that down, but there's enough of a gap to free style that or if you can remove them safely and wrap them better that way. If your doing a vinyl wrap it will be much easier compared to the 3M film cause its thinner material (I did wrap one in black but ended up just going for the 3M PPF cause I wanted to keep the smokey look)
I would highly recommend a really good sharp xacto knife or some blade that can cut the film, and make sure you buy the right amount as well, I got a 6" x 96" roll and this was enough to do all of them and some leftover, but not enough to do a redo if its really bad. Also make sure when you wrap it you wrap it towards the back around the edge/curve so that its not just the front that's covered.
Heres some photos of it up close, as you can tell its not good, but for the most part, people I've driven they haven't bat an eye on it unless I told them specifically to look at it and because my stupid xacto knife I cut with wasn't sharp enough I had to use like mini scissors from a pedicure set to cut the film (the bad ones are the rear trim pieces that I didn't remove from the car)
worse case scenario you probably can remove the trim pieces and take it to a professional wrap shop and get it done, I dont seeing this costing a lot honestly.
depends on the shop. the one I priced actually dissuaded me from wrapping the door trim pieces, saying that the labor to do it right would bring the cost very close to just replacing them new. and in a few months the exposed edges will start to lift and look like hell, there isn't any way to wrap around because of the rubber edges. yours will pass the 'five or six feet rule' I think.
I just got back from the dealer, to look at the reason why the left 'luggage room' interior light didn't work. the manual says in so many words 'don't try this at home, get a tech' well I did and he found that the light wasn't even connected. wth, was it like this from new? I am a second owner and it took me months to notice that the hatch only had one light on when open so I can see nobody else ever noticing it in the whole four years of the car's life. lol.
Swapped out my White Line endlinks for Godspeed ones.
Did this to correct the position of the Swaybars was able to choose my preferred length instead of just something generic for the car
