What did you do to your Kia Stinger today?

If you are worried about overboosting, perhaps you should start with the jb4.
From what i see on this forum, i say people are having way more overboosting problems from jb4, than secondary downpipes or aftermarket intakes.

That’s good to know too. When I’m finally at a good point for performance mods, I’ll have to run back through the forums. I’m not looking for any huge gains as I’d like to keep the car reliable. I’ll probably just stick with the mentioned mods and maybe a FMIC. I plan on sticking with 91/93 pump gas. No WMI either. My goal is to make my car tastefully unique and a little faster than stock.

Finally finished updating my Stinger from an aesthetic standpoint. I kept it as budget friendly (I wish I could afford a full ADRO or M&S aero kit) as possible with the front splitter, side skirts, & rear diffuser coming from Ebay......not to mention a DIY Plasti-Dip paint job. I just wish I knew how to vinyl wrap as the overspray is a PITA to clean up.

I'm anxious to start on performance mods, but I've been hesitant at voiding that 10yr/100K warranty. All I have done non-aesthetic is MBRP exhaust & Mishimoto OCC. I would really like to start with intakes, snorkels, & ARK secondary downpipes, but I'm afraid of running into over-boosting problems without having a piggyback (JB4) to manage all the new airflow. I'll probably have to wait until I get the car paid down a bit before going all out.

I finished installing the rear diffuser and side skirts a couple weeks ago and finally caved in to installing hood pins last weekend. I'm just glad one of the only easy-access pin locations aligned with a flat area on my ARK hood. All in all, I'm pretty happy with how everything turned out. Not too bad Ebay aero! :pView attachment 76342
You, are a monster. :D How is the (very cool looking) Plasti-Dip holding up? (Also, you know how to block out your plate without ruining the pics :P).

Haha….thanks so much! The Plasti-Dip has held up very well. It definitely helps protect the paint from chips. It also hides almost all paint imperfections. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised with 9 total coats. It’s definitely a thick layer. That overspray is no joke though. I taped off so many more areas than the YouTube tutorials showed. I also only had 1 small box fan moving air so the paint got on a lot of stuff in my garage as well. I had all that taped off too, but the overspray still made it way behind it.

I just used Microsoft Paint and the eye dropper for the plate. ;) I probably should have recruited my wife who is a Photoshop guru to do it properly.

What did I do? I hit a curb and potentially may need to replace the entire steering box since the inner tie rod is supposedly not replaceable... Just posted a thread about it.

@Slyder I love that color, is it a pearl or straight from the can?

Thank you kindly!

No mixing pearls needed! This one was straight from the can. It has a metallic finish, so it looks more like a "satin" finish instead of "matte."

Here's the link to the Slate Blue color.

Thank goodness DYC had used this color on their Mustang. If I only had the speed shape and the customer uploaded photos to look at, I probably would have passed.

nice, how she runrunning?
I run map 7 on my JB4 daily between E40-E48 with CPI. Get the P0174 code every once in awhile, but that's it. I run amsoil everything and change oil every 6k miles, front & rear diff, and I've changed transmission fluid twice. I have an issue with the front parking sensors but that's it.
