Tial BOV issue

The spring was way big dont worry bout it. what I have found so far is running the 7mm id hose made no difference but its what tial recommends so keeping with it. I put in a red spring I had leftover from a tial mvs wastegate, its the same size as the stock black spring but slightly softer. It holds bov shut at idle from the solenoid but not from the manifold. Bov Sounds like it should about 95%. The black spring seems to have just enough force to keep it closed from manifold vacuum, I shaved the smallest amount off and it no longer held closed. What I'm wondering is the torque app shows -18 vacuum at idle which would suggest that we need the white or plain springs according to there chart, so what I was thinking is the dual sound I'm hearing when letting off throttle is the boost pressure pushing up with enough force to leak by and make the "weird" noise in that split second before full vacuum hits releasing the rest and making the "normal" sound. I'm going to try shimming the black spring next and prove my theory right or wrong

Makes sense in my head but mostly because I don't understand this subject 100%. But looking forward to what you figure out. And thanks for the update.

I might want to try that smaller Tial BOV with the 3lb spring..

That would've been good to know during this whole time!! Where did you find that valve @djerickd ?

Tial QRJ 3psi installed horizontal and connected to the solenoid as shown in article. Works perfectly

@htcroid03 do you mean it's hooked up like it should be, stock, or to the rear part of the manifold?

Where did you buy the valve from?

Picked up the valve new on eBay for $180 with 3psi spring and no flanges or clamps or O-ring just reused the the clamp and O-ring from my Q valve. Then ordered a Tial QRJ to Q vband adapter for $10. That allows it to connect up to BMS flange. Since everything works I went ahead and ordered up the diffuser plate for the QRJ

Awesome, thanks for the info. I sold the Q and BMW adapter so I'm just gonna wait for the Mishi I/C to come out and re-visit the BOV at that time as well.

Working well so far? Any video?

I went hks, and love the dual blow off, opens up 100% of time at low and high pressure
