Tial BOV issue

Rob will be making a reply but even the 6 is too much in our opinion which is why low boast can force air into the intakes and make the additional noise. We really need a 4psi but it's not made:)
Your 8 is way too much!

So the 6 won’t work?

6 works yes, but was just saying even that's not perfect. 6 is the recommendation.

What I described above makes a big difference! I was just saying what is really needed is for Tial to make a 4psi spring but they don't:)

Ah okay makes sense! And I agree, I’m not sure why they make a 6 and then a supercharger one at 3, yet don’t make a 4 for lower boost models.

Just fyi,
I’m in discussions with tial now on a 4psi option for us.

I had two issues, lining up the vacuum, I used a small metal wire to keep hole aligned while tighten. I also used alcohol swab to wet the connector which helped the tight gotten hose slip on riser.
Second was the valve operating correctly but it seemed delayed and got pushback into intakes. I bypassed selonoid and routed directly to back connection, made huge difference. And yes it 100% fine to unplug the existing hose, leave it and plug directly in.
And yes my engine is really dirty

I see you went to the back connection to bypass the solenoid. Is it possible to instead use the front connection? The one further forward and a bit to the right that comes out of the manifold.

Did you end up doing this?

I tried it but it seemed like there was too much vacuum for the valves so I ended up using the rear one like Chris did.

I used the front, but I'm only using a 6mm hose and I used two clamps and two zip ties.

I'm not having any issues.

Anyone else running the "ck71 solenoid bypass mod" ??.. Lol

So you took the line from the top of the BOV and routed to that rear port on the intake manifold, correct?
Did you leave the rest of the lines as is? And did you cap off the port that the line is SUPPOSED to go to?

Yes, from BOV to the rear manifold port as pictured in this thread. Everything else stock. I did cap the line coming from the solenoid that goes to the diverter/BOV.

Been having similar issues with my black 6 psi Tial Q kit from BMS. I've had it hooked up to the solenoids and it isn't opening fully/properly. I'll try the rear manifold connection tonight. If I'm reading it correctly you just need to block off one factory line around the solenoids to avoid a vac leak ?

Yeah, just block the line coming out of the solenoid that goes to the BOV.
