Drag/Acceleration The Official 1/4 mile track thread.

Is there a way of doing this brake snip without dealer knowing and voiding warranty?
Yes, it could be done by building a removable plug-in adapter, though it would take considerable work.

You would need the matching male and female ECU harness connectors and pin sets along with the appropriate gauge and colors (if desired) of wire, and appropriate pin setting tools. Then use those components to build an intermediate/extension cable with the wire for the desired pin sub-harnessed either directly into a switch, or to an additional two-pin connector for a separate, detachable switch connection.

Added mods:
WMI, mid pipes and BMS toggle switch.
Thanks to Get Stung for the hardware. Installed at the track today. New record on second run.

Congrats! 1.62 60' is killing it!

Do you really think they are likely to remove plastic panels to unravel the factory wiring harness tape and check the integrity of every wire? shrug.

Well we know someone that won’t give Lap3, midpipes or WMI credit since it was the BMS brake switch that gets all the credit:rofl:

This forum can be such a cesspool. Why are some people here so hell-bent on finding conflict where there is none? Congratulating him and Lap3 isn't disparaging to BMS. As one of the original 10 beta testers I've ran with JB4 for longer than most people here have even owned their Stinger and I've never disparaged the box or the company.

Some of you are just exhausting to deal with.

20s are killing you. 18s are going to really let you sail. Just be more careful not to spin as much. Are they all seasons? I need to get rid of these 19s.
found these guys on fb today and stole them $160 for all 4, throwing them on my stock 18 rims should be fun.Screenshot_20190704-120829_Chrome.webp

I think he was joking.

lap3 is just a more expensive lower feature JB4 anyway so don't forget who the real enemy is, Tork, lol.

ScottyCole smashes the record moving from # 14 with a 12.23 @ 116 to #1 with a 11.63 @ 120.83 by adding WMI, mid and BMS brake snip. With that he also breaks all individual records accept 1/8 mile trap. (I think I had some mods wrong on the 12.2, we didn't have the FMIC and had UP HFC/Mid on there).
Great job!

If he was, my fault for being overly sensitive.

And Lap3 gets a bigger bump with WMI since their mode 2 is only 93 Octane. (vs a JB4 map 3 or 5 which is a more aggressive)

Very true. It’s interesting lap3 hasn’t yet developed maps to take advantage & make more power from octane boosters, e30, and race gas like the JB4 can. Having 3 extra maps(3,5,7) gives significantly more power to people not ready to take the step to WMI and over 22psi+.

But nonetheless their WMI map definitely pushes the envelope as that 11.6@120mph run is very impressive!

Im really impressed with the 120mph trap, didn't expect that.

Ditto, especially on a hot day. 11.5s. And 121 on a better day.

Agreed. Cant wait until winter season as I'm sure we will have low 11sec Stingers once those DA's drop.

Just have to say it again, this Stinger is incredible. Supercar numbers in a 4000lb luxury GT is simply amazing! And we really havent even scratched the surface of what she's capable of.:D

Why is the PSI so high?

Let's see the log of the run and get that sled in to the 11s! :)

Very nice! Bet you would have had 11s if your tire pressure wasnt soooo high. Stock tire pressure should be 34psi cold and mid-high 20s is typically recommended for best traction.
