Stinger JB4 Pure Hybrid Turbo Testing

It is for presertech tune lol and vacation. So both. Well it will be a custom tune when I go with all my boltons. Why so negative about presertech lol, everyone that has got a tune by them really like it.

I am not trying to hear no piggyback running circles around nothing lol The only thing I am running circles on is to sell this dawn thing and make few hundred buck out of it if I am lucky.

Yes they say they enjoy it... wonder why they dont actually show any results? Track, Draggy or anything else. When I contacted him last year he said he has set tunes and he wasnt doing any tunes per mods. If yo uare going to wait until summer just wait until BTR or LAP3 release. ORRRRRR you could change your name and contact tork so they dont know its you :D
 
I am certain he will use both and agree on that both have its purpose in the set up.

Im sure your right, but he said it wouldnt take him months as it was easy to do and he showed us tables about 2 months ago saying he was almost done and diving into the TCU..... wonder what happened -_-

Hahahahaha as a last resort yes I can change my name lol. But Tork is the last option as I need to do a name/identity change. Then I will have to kiss Tork ass and I don’t know If I can do that. Then if I need any customer service from Tork I am screwed as Matt knows my voice and address lol.

But all joking aside I would not mind having a Tork tune. The Tork tune seems legit and Tonka has had great success with it.

No Tork tune for me lol I am just going to wait for BTR my first option, second option lap 3 and third option presertech. 4th option JB4 with wmi. 5th option VT tune. 6th option go back to stock tune. 7th option maybe Tork.

Here are some Pressertech results from the 0-60 thread. Judging by the Jb4 times above and below him with more mods, seems like it works pretty well.

9. 4.19 seconds, 201.95 feet, -.49% slope. @Adamdan
AWD jb4 map 3, jun mid pipes-evc catback, k&n panel filters, 91 octane with some E85.

10. 4.20* seconds (*escort G force, unknown distance and slope) @eflyguy
AWD, Presseretech ECU tune, 93 octane

11. 4.27 seconds, 212.10 feet, -.46% slope @HARRY
AWD, JB4 map3, borla catback, NGM intake

Here are some Pressertech results from the 0-60 thread. Judging by the Jb4 times above and below him with more mods, seems like it works pretty well.

9. 4.19 seconds, 201.95 feet, -.49% slope. @Adamdan

I agree the PresserTech tune works pretty well, however you can’t really compare to the dragy runs since they show slope & distance. Not saying those results were manipulated, but technically that run could have been completely downhill.

If people want to make direct comparisons then all 3 of those results should be included on 0-60 lists. Otherwise it maybe better to separate results that would be considered “invalid” on a dragy.

Maybe we should make an official 'unofficial' Dragy list where we all look for the most ridiculous slopes and post our times :rofl::rofl: I bet I can find a ~8% slope over by me

Eflyguy would need 20% slope to beat the guy behind him by .07 if the tunes were equal since the next guy has intake and catback.
I've run 0% and +5% slope 0-60s back to back and the times where the same.
Slope doesn't seem to be as much of a factor on a short sprint.
Plus Eflyguy is a moderator so he gets an honesty point bump. Not like he's claiming a 3.0 or anything.
 
I really don't care whether I'm on a list or not, I did it for my own enjoyment, up in the hills where nobody is timing, and to have fun at the strip with my daughter now and then. I'll certainly post slips when I go again.

I've actually seen a drop in performance over the winter, which I put down to fuel blend, but not sure. I have another mod to install and wanted to get that issue figured out first, but I owe the vendor a write-up so I'll probably just have to install it and move on.

In my opinion, based on discussions with more qualified people than myself, ambient temps will have more impact on times than intake or exhaust *on this vehicle*. I do have the K&N drop-ins which the same people recommend *for this vehicle*. But that's just my accumulated opinion, and we all know what opinions are worth. :)
 
0-60 is always a tricky measurement as it's such a short run. And hard for us RWD guys to ever compete with the AWD guys who rocket off the line. :)

Heres an update from Force Fed

Well here we go! Final testing on the Pure Turbos stage2 turbo upgrades for the Stinger GT. There are still tuning advancements that will come available as the platform ages for a little more power but we have pushed this setup to its limits and ended up with 480whp and 575lb/ft of torque at 26psi holy crap! Keep in mind this car bone stock made 299whp and 384lb/ft of torque. Nearly a 200increase on both sides when these stage2 are still rather small. I foresee another larger set being made if these prove good results at the track. Street testing is pointless with no traction in lower gears so we are at the mercy of the weather holding up. Thanks to pure turbos to trusting us with efficient data and good testing comparisons and thanks to Burger Motorsports for helping dial in the methanol and boost control along with Pressertech for the bench flash and assisting us with torque limitations and throttle control. Our issue before was too much torque and the factory setting on the ecu would cause the throttle to close and hesitate horribly between shifts which should be solved now. This is certainly an awesome platform with the amount of abuse we have thrown at it and it hasn’t given us one mechanical problem. We would expect this setup to be around 530-540hp and over 625trq on a dynojet. This is all while still going through a 2.5” exhaust system all the way back. Stay tuned for more updates!

Thanks for the update and great news. That thing should be fast now especially on a awd.
That "throttle closing and hesitation on shifts" is what is holding the piggy backs up.

Its RWD -_- based on how the low gear torque limits are set are going to make the decision if my wife beats me for dropping 5k -_-

I know its RWD but hoping the next guy is AWD.
I just tested mine in RWD mode and don't see how you guys drive those. LC spin, AH spin, easing on the throttle spin, 30 MPH spin both tires and kick the ass out a foot or two.

If I wouldnt take such a huge hit I would in a heart beat. RWD have some serious struggles. Wondering how presser solved for them or if they considered them :(.

Awd with this set up could be a very low 11 second car.

Yup this is still on ms109 and Meth.
