Spark Plug change tips

Just curious what aftermarket plugs everyone prefers to use. Surprisingly, I can't seem to find 2019 Kia Stinger plugs on any site when I search for my specific car model which is odd.....

Denso IKH24 as all have already said.... gapped to 0.022"

Thanks. That's what I ordered. Found a good deal on Amazon.
Curious what deal you found as I'm wondering if it was cheaper then from the vendors here on the forums.

FYI-I got mine from Rockauto.com for only $7.92/plug or $55 shipped.

I tried Rock Auto, but for some reason could only buy in sets of 4 (4 or 8), not 6 which was odd....
Wow that’s weird and they must have changed the quantities for the orders, but only $64($8x8) to have a couple extra backups is still a great deal.

Just finished changing out the plugs today. Took about an hour longer then I was expecting, but I was taking my time and, as usual, the 2 plugs on the passenger side were a pain even with the tools. Had to take the coil apart for the plug in the middle to get the coil back on the plug. And scraped the crap out of my hands.... but I got it done and nothing blew up when I started the car :geek:.

Gapping the new plugs was a little of a problem. Had to make a trip to the store to get a different type of gap tool to reduce the gap on the new plugs. I was successful in getting them all between 0.0022 and 0.0024

Don't know what you used but I got this and it was easy to gap the plugs...

Yeah the screw down gapped is the best and accurate.
I used one of those round ones with the loops and the doohickey to bend the end of the plug because I didn't have any needle nose pliar small enough
One of these?

If so they don’t work very well and may damage the plugs. Did you use blade style feeler gauge for the gap size at least?

Just curious why feeler-type is preferred for checking the gap? Is it an accuracy thing? I would imagine as long as you are 0.023 +- 0.001, it should be fine?

btw, BMS sells them for $10/each, and for another $0, you can get a gap tool like the one from ebay, a feeler gauge and a 16mm plug socket. $100 for everything you need..

Without gap accuracy the spark will become victim to tyranny and oppression.
