Okay, thanks. I live in Raleigh and I was visiting Seattle on this weekend so asked. Hope it fits with new midpipe, I can't imagine living with creaks. Your stinger is 2018, right?

I think I am going to start with just the rear bar also. I want to reduce understeer and will try the rear only on the soft setting.

This evening I used the inside lane on the 2600 South Bountiful onramp, southbound to I-15. As you can see it is very tight.

It also has two dips, the worst of which I believe actually shows in this perspective of the satellite pic:

I've driven "spiritedly" on this curve a number of times before. This was the first time I had the Pilot Sport 4s, the TSW (lighter) rims and the Eibach rear sway bar all at the same time. I pushed harder than before. Two things happened: or rather one thing happened and something did not happen: the rear end did not bounce up, but stayed planted; even as the outside rear tire bit into the bottom of the second dip, and the car came back up a second time. So the traction was very good and the rear stayed down. (The sound from the rear tire was almost alarming, to a tyro speedster! I wondered if it were possible to reach the rim. Silly of me. I checked everything out carefully after I got home and could see nothing amiss; well, other than a few very small flaws in the black paint, which have to be from flicking up small rocks/gravel and pinging them off the rim; maybe that is what I was hearing so briefly?)

- Do you experience more creaks from the doors and sunroof?
- Has the driving comfort been worsen compared to the series?
- What specific rim model / size do you use?
- Were you able to improve performance with the lighter rims? I know that the factory wheels are really very heavy. Have you compared the acceleration data (old rims vs new ones)?

The Michelin Pilot Sport tires are a bit noisier and harder riding than the Nitto Motivo A/S UHP tires. There is no difference in comfort between the OE GT rims and the TSW rims .The Eibach sway bar (on "soft") did not make any noticeable difference in ride comfort either; it just firmed up all higher speed turns and curves.

I have the TSW "Watkins".Aftermarket Wheels

The steering response is lighter. And I believe that cornering speed has improved. The increased feedback through the steering wheel has encouraged me to push harder into cornering. I have no acceleration data. I'm not really into whittling off hundredths of a second on my zero to sixty times (whatever those might be ).

We did the install of the sway bar I bought in February on my buddy's 2018 yesterday. It was a bit of a challenge to get the driver's side done. Certainly need to go get some tools to get it completed, the right socket was a challenge to obtain so we improvised with some other angled extension and that got the job done. He is quite happy with the change, it made the car handle a lot better in curves and on bumpy roads. He was researching springs to install with the sway bar, I explained that a number of folks here did only the rear sway and it made a significant difference for them, without going with lowering springs. Lowering the car was a sticking point with his wife and after the install both were happy with the results.

I don't know what KIA did differently with the 2019 Stingers but we can certainly see that my 2019 and his 2018 with the sway bar feels similar. We didn't pull the wheels off mine to check the size of mine so we can't say for sure if it is a larger or made of a heavier material. This is just another plug for those looking to cure that rear end hop of their 2018 without lowering the car. A better sway bar is the answer. It can be done without taking it to a shop, with the right tools and some patience, you can get it done.

I agree with your assessment. I Put both on mine.
The funnest handling for me was front on soft rear on firm. Made the car feel really good and a bit tail happy. It did firm the ride up in the rear a bit much so I am now on soft on both. I can't believe how much the rear bar made the rear feel less unsettled in both cornering and in the ride.

Such a minor thing in our thinking but so important to the handling factor of the car. I had bought mine expecting the 2019 would have the same issue as the 2018 but after the first couple of weeks, the car did not seem to need it so I never installed it. Now 4 months later, I still don't feel the need to install it so it went on my buddy's 2018. I don't think I recall anyone with a 2019 doing this upgrade. On my car, the only thing I would say it could benefit from is a slight drop in ride height for more of a visual look, but totally not necessary in my opinion based on how it rides and handles for a daily driver. I really don't want it to go any lower but as mentioned, if they could adjust the damping of the shocks to make it feel like the G70's comfort mode in Sport, I would be good with that.

I ditched both my GTi and my 300zx over the last year in favour of a full size sporty GT, both had the suspension done, I feel the need every day

As far as lowering, I drove the GTi lowered year round through Canadian winters and never noticed an issue. The extra ~inch through snow won't make a difference, it's either plowed or you're plowing, there's not really any in between. If there's so much snow that you're having a hard time getting through it on springs, you're going to have a hard time getting through it without. Same deal with my WRX, but I swear that WRX could get out of stuff that would stick a pickup with the central and rear LSD.

I've never really driven a lowered car and thought "dammit, if only I wasn't lowered". Granted, I only ever put Eibach springs on which have always been on the reasonable side of lowering. Lol. The woman has the common sense and does not share the "aesthetic" of "looks more cool!"

We didn't pull the wheels off mine to check the size of mine so we can't say for sure if it is a larger or made of a heavier material.

You don't have to pull the wheel, you can shine a light in there and see the bar just fine.

Raised, center, concrete medians; invisible in deep evening, slanting light: that would mess with your lowered car. Why would you be driving over the top of them, you might ask? That scenario is the poser; and simply illustrative of the possibilities. I will never lower my already low enough car.

You can correct alignment on mildly lowered cars, but eventually you get low enough that control arms are sticking out at weird angles and there's not much you can do beyond that point.

Not having any luck getting my brackets off, don't have angled socket wrench, just ujoints, I've tried a few combinations of extensions, ujoints and direct but the nuts just won't budge. The one under the fuel line I can't even get a socket on it without stressing that line, I'm not sure how much it'll bend but not really looking to press my luck. Any tips?

I've got a 1/2" breaker bar but the neck is too long.
