I was rear ended on the highway over the weekend.. the damage doesn’t look terrible cosmetically but should i be worried about frame damage/electrical issues? vibrates when driving and looks lopsided from behind. waiting on insurance and i’m impatient lol.

That’s wack but I think you dodged a bullet. I don’t expect any structural damage from what I can see but obviously pieces need to be removed to get a full scope.

That sucks, I'm sorry. I wonder if the vibrating is from the exhaust. It looks pretty mashed.

I would worry about the rear suspension components as they were stamped steel rather than cast which Hyundai got cast and kia was saving money so my only worry would be that those stamped control arms in the rear may have been bent if the impact was severe enough but I just don't know enough from the pictures

Does the hatch still open and close? I'd be worried about a twist that wouldn't let the hatch close after opening.

Nooooo.

I was rear-ended back in mid Sept. 2021. Mine seems it was lower than yours though. I didn't have any issues with frame, but they replaced the battery/ spare tire tub, driver side exhaust and back bumper. I didn't have any issues with the hatch but once again, mine was lower than yours. Also, the biggest issue I had was the parts! I actually brought it in mid October 2021 and got it back mid December 2021. Not bad though. The only real issue I had was a few missing screws and such (probably them trying to get it finished).

^^Tell us about your time travel device?
I find that funny, because Scott wrote that he would get his car back in 2023; is that what you're having fun with?

Actually, disregard!@# I read "brought it" in as "bought it". No wonder it didn't compute.

As an FYI, mine was $4800 and some change. The rental car though...the Nissan Kicks...$2400!! Their insurance (State Farm) paid for it or I would 'a complained about that death trap of a car.
