PDP? (in other words, Primary Down Pipes?)

ya, its not the setup, just haven't had weather that would be conducive to testing, so haven't been motivated to do it. I was the first customer to get one, just been dragging my ass to do it.

The IAT cable is is really simple. Took me 10 seconds. You need to go in and set 6Cyl to 20 (at least for chicagoland weather ( -3 tomorrow -_- )
How did you get the cable and instructions? Are you runing primery delete?

I would send a log to terry if your IATs are low he may suggest using one. I have my primaries but I have the lap 3 dps just havent put them in yet.

@DaBears4Lyfe I know it's an old post but I came across it and wanted to follow up. What's the IAT wire about? Cold weather thing? Did it help?

I live in a warmer climate so my IAT's are moderate as it is, usually 110-120 idle (full heat soak). As such, I've bypassed the throttle coolant line which seemed to lower IAT's a few degrees. Perhaps it's not something I need to worry about in my climate.

I was also curious about the passive delete option for bypassing CEL on O2 discrepancies. I have high-flow primary cats, which do set off the CEL (P0000) if that's not enabled but that being the case I've always wondered if I needed to disable the fuel wire control, or if the fuel wires are even necessary now with firmware v7...? I also see the option in user settings to disable overboost detection and wondered if that was all somehow related. Have you messed with those settings?

Anybody running PDP with the JB4? Any problems?
I am

Ya I know people where having problems with cel coming on when primary cats removed. Just hollow out the stock cats.
Even if you hollow out the stock cats, you WILL have a CEL. In my case I had to delete the CEL almost everyday.

Should not be issues they have o2 sensor ports on them.thats where you get the cel when there are know o2 sensors.
Having o2 sensor ports does not prevent the CEL. The only way to prevent CEL is to make the system ignore the code (ECU mapping or JB4 auto delete) or to disable the sensors.

I'm running full turbo back, catless primary and secondary with JB4. To prevent codes you need to use the passive delete feature on the wmi settings page. To do that in US you have to use a vpn app to connect to Canada IP, then set country in jB4 to Canada. Because jb4 is CARB approved for various models they cannot have emissions defeating features in US.
The passive delete feature works but also bypasses all codes including the ones you want to know about. It comes with a risk that should be taken into account.

Isn't the CEL code P0400?

I don't think I've seen that one, all I've seen is P0000 and P0100, so I assume that is left / right bank. Perhaps the different codes have something to do with the JB4 fuel wires?

I did notice if I unplug both primary O2 sensor wires, and leave the secondaries plugged in (with fuel wires), it stops throwing codes. I do have spacers on the secondary sensors, if that matters.

It seems the Stinger's CEL triggers are a bit odd altogether. For example... when the drivers side turbo blew on me (leading to a motor swap) and there was virtually no oil left in the engine since it all blew out the exhaust, there were NO CEL's. The dealership called me after the tow truck dropped it off to ask what had happened because there were no error codes. I did not clear them or have error supression on at the time. Definitely would have thought a turbo not spinning, terrible knocking from metal being sucked in the engine destroying rod bearings, both LH O2 sensors covered in oil, or lack of oil entirely would have triggered something. NOPE.

A friend of mine also has P0400 after doing primary cat delete. I don't know why, it should be P042x according to the OBD2 spec. In my case, now I have spacers on the primary sensors.
But I don't know why you keep mentionning the JB4 fuel wires, is it related to this matter?

P0400 is an EGR sort of fault, exhaust gas re-circulation. Maybe a hose is loose or something?

That would be very odd because a friend of mine has the exact same code on his G70 after he did primary cat delete. I will ask to more people what code they have.

I'm sure it's exhaust related somehow....

A friend told me that the code displayed as P0400 in JB4 was shown as P0420 or P0430 using an ODB2 scanner. Is that technically possible? I cannot check myself on my car because I don't have CELs anymore.

So im thinking of running Kia Stinger 3.3T - Ultimate Performance HFC Downpipe + Mid Pipe Combo Kit with a JB4 has anyone done the same? Im worried about CEL and potential overboost. Any help, feedback or example gratefully received. Cheers

It shows it includes "O2 sensor non-fouler included preventing a check engine light (CEL)"

Could be if there is a reading bug on the JB4 app version he's using we're not aware of.

i did see that too. My point was that im sure teh product on its own works fine. But i wanted to see what the results were when you add a JB4 in the mix. Do you get any over boost issues or CEL with the JB4 added. So just wondered if anyone has both on their car with any issues. It does have a 400 cel cat so hopefully that would stop any overboost.

I can't speak for the overboost issue on this specific product but whether you get a CEL or is not related with the JB4. If they didn't design their o2 sensor ports correctly you will get a CEL, even on a stock car (no chip). The CELs happen when you are cruising at low to moderate speeds.

yeah thats true. thanks mate. be interesting to hear from anyone who did it

also mate i see you have a primary DP and JB4 all good with your set up?
