PDP? (in other words, Primary Down Pipes?)

It shows it includes "O2 sensor non-fouler included preventing a check engine light (CEL)"
It may say that, but I am curious if that holds true in the actual real world?

hence why i'm trying to find out if anyone has used it with a JB4 or on its own with any problems. I would want some kind of guarantee from the company that if the CEL happened and not gone with their help or parts they send, then a full refund would be issued.

I have heard from people running catless with no tunes or intake mods, that these pipes will not throw a cel. simply because the stock intakes help slow things down (is my understanding, I may be wrong). so by themselves, they should work as advertised. I am just waiting to hear from people running a piggy, like the jb4, with the highflow primaries, no secondaries, and a intake, if that still holds true, since you are really pushing alot more with that setup, even though the jb4 can clear those codes outside of the U.S, information is power.

I had CELs with stock intake and stock exhaust.
I personally think that you would still have them without any mods.

So im thinking of running Kia Stinger 3.3T - Ultimate Performance HFC Downpipe + Mid Pipe Combo Kit with a JB4 has anyone done the same? Im worried about CEL and potential overboost. Any help, feedback or example gratefully received. Cheers

I have the Ultimate Performance cats / pipes. Still get CEL on the LH cat with the spacer and not really enough room for another spacer. No overboost and they sound really good (LOUD, so be prepared) with the Borla S catback. Like them better than SSR DP's but I would recommend wrapping the pipes at least down to the cat portion since they do radiate more heat into the engine bay than stock as they do not have the heat shields.

Also, that no CEL with the spark defouler Ultimate Performance might entirely be referring to a stock setup, I assumed so when purchasing anyways. I can 100% confirm with my setup I get a cel with the JB4 on all maps, and there are ways around these types of things (for track use only, of course).

Thanks for all the info bal!

Your spacers are too short.

I 100% agree and will try it out with a longer spacer (defouler) when I wrap them in titanium wrap this weekend to see if that helps my iats since all of the heat is ending up in my engine bay. For saving the environment purposes, of course, maybe not ideal for some certain off track emissions testing. The problem now being since there's hardly any room for that secondary O2 sensor as it is, I'm now going to have to touch the wire to the tranny. Oh well, will wrap some cold tape around the whole thing and hope for the best until the tranny inevitably blows and deal with it then. Will let ya'll know if the CELs go away with the longer spacer on the LH secondary O2 sensor.

So with your CEL, did you get them then get rid using your JB4 or something else? Does the CEL keep coming up and you're having to constantly clear the code?

interested to see your results, please let us know how you go

After adding a longer spacer (spark defouler) to the LH secondary O2 sensor, I'm no longer getting the P0000 CEL with the Ultimate Performance DP's. Didn't add a spacer to the RH O2 sensor since that side wasn't throwing a code, and it still isn't. My primary LH O2 sensor had half of its face shaved off when that turbo blew and Kia didn't bother replacing it, so perhaps that side was just out of calibration enough to throw the code. At $230 for a primary O2 sensor or having to deal with the service department again for a free replacement, I opted to just leave it.

IAT's dropped 10 degrees avg wrapping the downpipes in titanium wrap and the charge pipe down to the intercooler in cold tape (fiberglass), so a win there as well!

Edit: Also, on the topic of lowering IAT's. If you live in a warmer climate or will not be driving the car when it's freezing, I recommend bypassing the coolant lines to the throttle body. Quick and easy mod, should take less than 15 minutes. You only need about 8 or 9 inches of hose and can use the existing pinch clamps. I did burp the coolant afterwards, but I'm not even sure it was necessary.

I have a 2019 stinger gt2. I’ve installed jb4 tuner, Borla exhaust ultimate performance down pipe/mid pipe combo. I recently started having a problem with the check engine light coming on if I punch the pedal. No problem driving normally, only when step on it. Not sure what to do. Any suggestions anyone?

I popped a p0430 code right after installing the ARK performance down pipes. Not sure what to do?

I have high flow primary cats. Midepipe cat delete and cat back system. I run the jb4. I always get check engine light. It's caused by my highflow primaries.

EWG wires for JB4 should enable you to fix that.

I did add the wires. It still comes om after I get on the gas. But I clear it with the jb4. Not a big deal to be honest.
Send a log to Terry. He will help you adjust FF appropriately (most likely to 45 and go up from there).
