Would not concern me, never use either of those modes. I'm a Comfort guy.

I use "Eco" engine and transmission setting in Custom mode. I wonder if the MY19 engages coasting when Custom is set to Eco or Comfort for the engine/transmission setting?

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Another "feature" making me hesitant to buy a Stinger, in less it can be switched off and I mean DEFAULT off. When you buy a high performance V-6 twin turbo, you expect the sumbitch to STAY ON until you tell it to shut off. Engine shut-off is for hybrids.

By default it isn't on in sport mode and unlike the active engine noise there's a setting to turn it off on all modes. This setting also persists after turning off the car so it only needs to be set once.

The 360 camera alone made my decision easy and the heated rear seats and wireless charging should be in any car at this price unless it's exclusively made for performance. Now the only feature I feel is missing at this price is remote start as standard equipment.

Edit:
Just realized you were actually talking about engine shutoff. That setting can be turned off and has a dedicated physical button to do so but has to be set everytime you start the car. While there should be a way to permanently turn this off if desired I disagree with this being a bad feature on anything called a GT. With its gas mileage I would have purchased an OBDII device that did this if the car didn't just to save as much gas as possible during daily use. Just my opinion though.

Does the GT come with this feature? It has fewer luxury touches and is closer to a bare bones performance focused model to my knowledge. That might be more your speed and I'm sure it weighs quite a bit less without all the extra amenities.

I don't want to pay for remote start. Why make it standard and force a large percentage of buyers to pay for it?

Something small:

I only had a 2018 for a couple days so I might remember this wrong but when I put it in Eco every time I started the car again it would default to Comfort. In my 2019 Eco mode is now persistent after turning the car off. Sport, Custom, and Smart modes are still not persistent.

I didn't specify by name but I was talking about the GT2. For a car that MSRPs over 50k and is supposed to be the version with everything this is a weird omission for something so cheap for Kia. It's becoming standard on several sub 25k cars and the added cost + profit could be as little as $200 for the hardware Kia uses if it's installed in the factory.

Just saw a 2019 GT2 in Snow White with red leather. Looked absolutely amazing. Never owned or even considered a white car before, but I may have just changed my mind about wanting/getting a Red/Red GT2.

I am loving my '19 white/red GT2 more and more every minute I spend with her. I might have to stop dating for a while....

We have the same combo. I really wanted the Ceramic Silver but man the White/Red works so well together!
