Now with a reputable source - 2019 options!

It's a white GT RWD with black interior and I'll share some pictures as soon as I actually get the the car if anyone wants.

You mean GT2? Pictures will be nice. And congratulations.

From the attachments, it appears that you paid $50,418 for the car itself. That's almost exactly the same figure of the car I was referencing in my post above. The dealer here is advertising a price of $50,439.

ETA: I tried to link the ad, but apparently I'm too new a member to the forum to do so.

How come the msrp is 50,439 + 3,300? I mean what does it have installed?

It's an AWD, so that's $2,200 there. I'm not sure what other PIOs have been added for the other $1,100 (actually, $1,091).

$50,498 was the price before taxes, fees, etc were added and without subtracting the $5400 in lease incentives, yes

Yes, thanks for point that out. I've corrected my post.

Yes, I'm aware of that. That's why I said you paid $50,418 for the car itself. I was just pointing out the coincidence of that being almost the exact same price as the car I had referenced earlier in this thread.

It's even better deal, For AWD lease incentive is 6100.

The 2018 I had was an AWD that had been repaired from hail damage on the lot. It was nice to have the stability of AWD but I kind of wanted the feel of RWD. I'm very happy with how this turned out and I can' wait to pick it up from them.

When are you going to pick it up? My dealer called, he said he can get me RWD in same color combo I ordered.

Just heard back from them. Apparently they won't have it until the 29th. They told me they had it on the lot, then when I was there it was actually still on the truck, then the truck apparently had stopped before coming to the dealer, and now it's invoiced to them and will arrive on the 29th. They keep changing their story. I can't stand when dealers do this.

Might be a stupid question but what is Coasting Neutral Control?
Do I have that in my GT2?

This says it disconnects your transmission when you coast, so it's like being in neutral, and is new to the 2019 Premium, GT1, and GT2

Don't know how reputable this is though
Don't like this feature, I think it is a mistake putting this on the 2019's. I want the engine to help break when I let up on the gas. When I take my foot off the gas, the instant MPG goes to max indicating to me the fuel is shut off. So I don't see the advantage of neutral coasting.

The idea would be that there is no engine braking slowing you down more. Just because the gauge goes to max doesn't mean that's the most you can get, it just isn't showing it. If this is actually a feature in the 2019's as the article suggests they also said it can be turned off.

I thought I read some place that the fuel shut down when coasting in gear. ?? But, if you can turn it off, no harm no fowl.

One other thing, harder on the breaks if you want to slow to a stop.

Guess it all depends on driving style. When I know I'm going to come to a stop, (traffic light, sign) I usually flip my car in neutral anyway from pretty far out. By the time I need to brake I'm below 20mph. Motor isn't helping slow down at that speed. Just like in a manual. Light turns red, push clutch and coast. I hate that my wife's edge has this sense of engine braking like a 4x4 going downhill.

It’s a coasting feature. We had it in our Volvo, if it work the same, which I believe it does. If you put your foot on the gas or brakes it re-engages the transmission. It doesn’t turn off the fuel however, it drops the engine to idle instead of keeping it up at whatever rpm it would be in, depending on the speed you are traveling.

Don't see the need or benefit for this feature. Just let the automatic trans and engine do their job. I was taught 65 years ago in drivers ed to not take your car out of gear until you had to.

Benefit is you save gas. I don't see a down side . 65 years ago it was not good to put a transmission in neutral and back in drive when the vehicle was moving. The gears could be damaged. These are not the transmissions of 65 years ago.

I was referring to, when coming to a stop. Also, 65 years ago, was not talking about an automatic trans. Gears will not be damaged, they had clutches.
