Will you update?

This is probably going to be a stupid question, but do all Stingers have a nav system? I've used Apple play since day one (only had it for 2 months) and haven't noticed a native nav system app on my 2021 GT the few times I haven't plugged my phone in.

Just a heads up for anyone with the 22-23's, it appears like the most recent update fiddled with something that would determine how the under front seat subs respond to music, as after the update, the subs under my seats feel more "alive" than they used to, at the same volume level with no messing of the in car EQ settings. I thought I was going insane this morning so I brought up the track that I have always used to measure a speaker systems responsiveness and frequency capabilities, and sure enough I can feel them more on each hit of the bass drum. Its not a huge difference, maybe 20%? but it was enough to notice. Tried a few other songs and can notice a difference as well.
That's odd, and unexpected. Too bad you can't easily compare the differences, side by side.

Base GT does not have navigation.

Whet happens when you press the map, or the nav buttons?

Mine doesn't have the map or app buttons. It has Apps and Phone in those locations. Question was answered by Snicklefritz, base GT doesn't have the nav system. Thanks!

Thats what I thought as well, though they just did the same thing with the stereo system in my Elantra N, They turned the gain up by 50-75% so now it can actually go loud and sounds more clear.

I can confidently say that on my Canadian 2018 GT Limited, there was no audio quality changes over Bluetooth or Android auto.

What is your sound source where you hear the increased bass? All sources? Or just one source type?

Using android auto, but the 18s - 21s actually has a slightly better system in them from my experience. Up until today, the system in my 18 GT2 sounded clearer, more rich, and the under seats responded better. Now, the system in my 22 G70 sounds much closer to how the system was in my stinger.

Well, congrats I suppose.

I remember getting the update to my computer that actually allows my exhaust valves to function. Sometimes things just working right is a win!

Gotta be honest, I'm one of those with a '19 GT1 who feels like the under-seat subs are only for show. I've never really noticed anything coming from there..

The new update broke the ability for my Carlink 3.0 adapter to work. Anyone else have this issue? I’ve tried multiple cables and my Carlink 3.0 adapter from my other car. Worked before, now it doesn’t :(

I actually had the May update break mine and I’ve been trying to fix it since then. Carlink has suggested several things, but it looks like this might work:

Please kindly download the latest firmware in the linkto your USB drive, then try the method below:

Link: U2W_AUTOKIT_Update.img

Please notice that the file name was renamed(the correct filename should be without (1)).

1, prepare a 32G or less U disk, and right click on the U disk, formatted as FAT32 format (4/8/16/32GB)
2, the img format firmware into the U disk (firmware name can not be modified, keep the name in the zip package)
3, find a charger plug to power up the product, and then insert the U disk into the box USB port to upgrade (do not upgrade in the car)
4, upgrade with red and green lights flashing, do not power off, wait until the bright red light or blue light on, and then wait 3 minutes to unplug.

If the USB flash drive meets the size, format, but the LED does not appear flashing phenomenon, please replace a USB flash drive

When you have successfully freshed your firmware, please plug the dongle into the wall charger or plug it in to the car,
once the red light is on, connect the dongle's wifi with your phone , then input 192.168.50.2 in your phone browser to
log in the backend. Then check for update.

Thank you so much for taking the time to help me with this! I updated the firmware based on your helpful instructions but my Stinger still won’t connect with it. I realize this stuff is kinda hit or miss; maybe I’ll try a different CarPlay dongle because I will severely miss wireless.

Does the genre of music you listen to have frequencies below 40 hz
Also, bass is Omni directional, so you shouldn't really notice where it is coming from..

Not sure.. I mostly listen "classic rock / 80s / 90s" type stuff with some variation, but the wife and kids do like some newer stuff. Any suggestions for a good song to try it out?

As far as noticing it, I'm talking about putting my hand on the sub, and feeling like there's stronger vibrations coming from the door..

Most musical bass comes from the door woofers..

Only exceedingly deep bass (below around 40hz) originates from the 2 x 200mm under seat subwoofers.

Try a tone generator

Thanks, installed. Now to remember to try it when I'm in the car :-)
