Never had a car that turned so many heads.

At costco yesterday, I had just parked my Stinger and was walking towards the entrance.

Just then, a black Roush F150 stopped beside me and the man pulled down his window and said at me "Dude I love your Stinger! We have a red one at home!" I commented on his pickup and gave him a thumbs up as he drove away.

I continued walking and started to imagine what his garage looks like. A black Roush F150 and a red Stinger side by side!

Sir if you're on this forum, you have great taste in rides! Respect

It's that color, I swear it is the difference. My Silky Silver slides by without attracting attention: months go by between any mention. :D
I've had lots of comments from total strangers on my Silky Silver. Just a couple of days ago I stopped at a petrol station (sorry, "gas station" for Yankees) and a guy coming out of the shop with his young child said "that's cool!" to his daughter as he walked by - and turned his head so he could check out the rear.

I’m now known as the fancy blue car at school drop off. Little do they know it’s a Kia baby!

The new property assistant manager at our apartment told me the other day he loves my new Maserati and it sounds amazing (got my Borla catback on it now). I thanked him for the compliment and told him it's a Kia. He said his lease on his 2018 BMW 340i is wrapping up and he might take a look at the Stinger. I told him he'll love it! :D

Better tell him to hurry up!

I started this thread a bit after I bought my 2018 GT2 AWD Stinger about 2 years ago. About 4 months ago I sold it for almost as much as I bought it. I loved that car and I miss it. It was time to move on to something else as I do enjoy a different car every few years. Now I am on the other side of this, I turn my head at every stinger I see and reminisce of all the great time I had with it. I put 40,000 miles on the car the nearly 2 years I had it. About a month after selling the Stinger I picked up a new 2021 Black Hyundai Veloster N with a 6 speed manual.

Now before you guys mention how much of a downgrade it is and yes in certain aspects it is. The car is cheaper, less features, DAMN do I miss my ventilated seats. In a straight line the stinger would walk the VN no problem, especially with my skills driving stick hah. The Veloster N makes up for it in other areas. The car is mental going around corners, I took my stinger on the Back of the Dragon and while it did alright, the Veloster N felt like it was twice as fast and very stable. I should also say I had the Borla exhaust on my Stinger and I felt it was still not loud enough and it just felt like it needed more which of course is my opinion, it's a GT not a Sports car. The Veloster exhaust is just so much fun. I'm a child and those pops, bangs and crackles puts smiles on my face.

Maybe after having my Veloster for a few years and if I some how get a kid or 2 on the way, I may look back at the Stinger platform but until then, I'll be snapping my neck checking out your Stingers as we pass by. VN.webp

The N seems like it's a lot of fun, I watched the straight pipes review of the 6speed and DCT, (just watched the DCT one this morning) and it did quite well, I would imagine you will never get tired of the exhaust... it would bring smiles to my face too! - Enjoy

"Fart in a can", that's what those noises are. :D;) But, as long as they don't wake me up in the middle of the night, I won't begrudge.

I got a different kind of head turning, going up toward Bald mountain pass in the Uinta mountains yesterday. A couple of raised thumbs up over the windshield (I think they were in a late model Mazda Miata of some kind, but, not being a car guy, I can't be sure: it was small and came around the corner pretty fast): I could tell that they recognized the Stinger immediately, they were grinning.

I love the Veloster-N and if I'm being honest... going back a few months I was genuinely considering selling my Stinger for a profit and picking up a Veloster-N with DCT. Incredible and fun little toys with a fantastic 10-year warranty! :D

I have had my Micro Blue Stinger GT2 for about a month and a half. I have done very little with it (So far) I had the KIA badge and the lug cover badges removed. I kept the rear badge because I like to still let people know a KIA just beat them to the next red light. Hah.

I have had so many times where i'm driving around and I get people staring and pointing at the car or even just blatantly having people ask what is it or the car looks 'hot'. Coming out of the store and having someone walking around the car looking at it. I'm sitting at my desk and I park my car on the top floor of the parking garage so I can see the car. I had just looked over there and I saw 2 guys walking around my car. I had backed into my spot really close and one of the guys trying real hard to see if he could recognize a badge on the rear.

I plan on getting a new exhaust to add to the visual appearance it already has.

Just wanted to share my experience with the car so far. I thought I would calm down after a month or so but I still walk up to the car thinking how nice it is.
same, never had a car that got this much attention. especially with the new logo, people ask what kind of car is that. i hope they still make them and improve them in 2024. i love the stinger. i love the stinger scorpion style even more.

My wife needed to get covid tested due to work and a very elderly woman whos performing the drive through tests says "Wow what a beautiful car, is it a stingray?" Lmao
Oh bless her heart!! She tried..

My Neon Orange GT has not failed to turn a single head since day one. It's completely debadged, and the wheel hub caps have been nicely wrapped to hide the KIA logo. Everyone is asking what this car is and I tell them it's the guessing game of the century!

Same here! I have the logo's wrapped and the GT stickers on my wheel hubs.
Everyday someone comments on my GT2.
I never get tired of the compliments.

Had my home internet upgraded the other day, and the tech was asking me a few questions about my experience when he was done.

Towards he end he says, "One last question, what is that beautiful car in your garage?"

Told him it was a less than 1 week old Kia Stinger, and he said he had never heard of those before but he would have to look into them!

they all look great, but my favorite colors are the orange ones and white ones. i think orange with blacked out wheels would look sweet. same for white. a scorpion white one, ohhh man..
mine is ceramic silver; its just that i see so many vehicles with this color now.

I'm with you there. Mine is Ascot which is a more rare color so I do like that. Especially since I've blacked out the wheels on it. I am off all week next week so I am going full chrome delete.

My wife's Scorpion is such a good looking car but it does get washed out sometimes with the popularity of that color across the brands.

Though, I do force head turns sometimes - with the CAIs it's a blast to run up the RPMs and back off so everyone can enjoy the sound.
