Never had a car that turned so many heads.

I would have to use fingers and toes to count the number of times I've parked my Stinger and come back to find a Panamera parked by it. They know we're trustworthy?
I think so. Top comments we all probably get.

1) Nice car
2) Is that a stinger??
3) is it the one with the turbos

Curbside service at Chick-Fil-A. No numbered spot in the parking lot so they ask for your car color and brand on the app. Of course they couldn’t find it as nobody knew it was a Kia. Hahaha. I watched them go to every black car in the lot before they came to mine.

Yesterday, stopped for gas, I saw a guy pointing out my car to his passenger. When I finished I pulled around to a parking spot, and the first guy came over and started to ask who makes this? And then he saw, mid-sentence, the KIA on the hatch lid (that I recently re-exposed to the world by removing the "K" skin). He faltered. :D I walked closer and said, "What's that?" And he asked what kind of car is this? I said that it's a Kia Stinger, which first came out in 2018; "Haven't you heard of it before?" He said no, and asked about horsepower: so I said that this is the 3.3L with 365 horses (that impressed him); and that the four cylinder has 255 HP, but is being upgraded later this year, first of next year, to 2.5L and 300 HP. "That's probably the way to go," I said. His parting comment was that it is a really attractive design.

It certainly caught his attention. But over three years later? This is still a very rare car.

I occasionally get a thumbs up on the HW, don't see many up here but do see a lot of KIA's, even a few Optima's with the K badge LOL

Also at a gas station, I left my door open and guy at next pump with a very nice Ford Flex mind you, said....."man your alfa Romeo interior is SWEET! " I smiled and simply said......no, it's a Kia ......we chatted a bit more and he left by saying , man if didn't have all these kids , I'd get one.....bless his heart

This past Saturday.....jumped into my car at Home Depot. Car facing me had a gentlemen in the drivers seat pointing his finger as if he was asking me to wait. He jumped out of his car and came to my window to say, “I was admiring your car, very nice. I would take that over a BMW any day, beautiful vehicle.”
My wife was with me and just put her hand on her forehead and eyes and shook her head and said, “that’s just weird”.....hahaha

I was washing my wife's mercedes and my neighbor says "when you gonna wash the Maserati?" He legitimately thought my stinger was a Mas lol
Get that all the time

Love the car. Parked an entire lot over and someone still parked near me.
I also go out of my to not park next to non-car enthusiasts (e.g. obvious bangers, soccer mum suvs, A to B transport etc) as you know most just don't give a two shits. If you park next to a nice car, you almost guarantee that person will afford the same respect for the car parked next to theirs.

True, but the line between "car enthusiast" and "wealthy soccer mom" is very blurry around here.

I avoid ANY SUV, regardless of how expensive it is.
Even if the driver is careful, the other occupants (kids) are not that attentive. One unlucky gust of wind or enthusiastically flung-open door and your door earns a battle scar.

You'll find me in the back of the lot, or hugging an island. Trees and curbs stay in their lane.

I was once asked by someone driving a Maserati, "Is that the new Maserati"?

You would think after nearly 4 years with the car being on the road people would maybe know what it is. I had two pretty cool moments past week with the car. I was washing my car in a wash bay, touchless and mostly just getting a layer of dust off the car. As I was hand drying it a guy in the next stall came over and started asking me about the car. He was very surprised it was a Kia. Was asking me a bunch of questions about it and he said, he is surprised Kia makes something like this. Second moment I was driving home and I noticed an older Nissan Maxima was following me, after turning on to a road, he got besides me as we were driving about 30 mph and was asking about the car haha. He asked if the car was fun and I said very much so! He said he was looking for a new car but couldn't find anywhere to test drive one, not sure why that is an issue unless the cars are selling much better lately? we talked for a few more seconds and we parted ways. If I had kept all the dashcam recordings of the reactions from people I think it would be great marketing for the Stinger.

I've had mine for 3 weeks, get so many notices everywhere it's a little odd. Even with my 2019 Veloster with the N wing rarely got a notice.

Had a guy at the gas station see me pull in, and come inside just to talk to me about it. He was driving a decent modded newer 3 series.

That’s a challenge because it seems most vehicles out there are SUVs. I get it though. I go for the island/curb spots too and park as far over as possible (closest to the curb).

Bought some Chik-fil-A today and parked in the shopping center parking lot in Seaford, DE to eat it. Think I probably turned about 6 or 7 heads in the vehicles driving by!
