Navigation Update V14 due out April 20, 2020

Got mine downloaded and installed. No issues or bugs so far.

It may have been added a while back, but the nature sounds is the weirdest addition. Seems like there have to be a ton more useful and interesting features they could program in and how Nature Sounds made it to the top of the list doesn’t make much sense.
Agree with that. There still a ton of features they could do like adding support for android auto nav directions on the HUD, remembering the last drive mode, remembering last setting for ISG, fixing the delay with using UVO, etc. The whole sounds of nature feature has become a running joke amongst reviewers.

Just wanted to point out that downloading the update is available again for 19-21 model years.

Could that be a more meta post - posting about the update being available while downloading the update and screenshotting your post about the update in the post about the update.

Those will not change in this platform, ever. Thank the government.

Can you post a picture of your software and firmware version numbers?

I'm sure this is simply a case of me being an idiot but....

I have a GT without the SD card drive, so I downloaded the files to a USB thumb drive. I went out this morning to try to update the firmware, and put the USB stick into the USB port under the infotainment / HVAC system, and . . . nothing happens. When I go into the Setup -> System Info -> Update menu it tells me to insert the media (or something like that). Basically - it seems like the system isn't seeing my USB drive. Is my process correct? Or am I doing something wrong?

I would check to see if your USB drive is formatted as FAT32.

Definitely not you being an idiot. I have run into the same issue. I have used a USB drive and it did not work. Also used an SD card with an SD USB reader and it still does not work for me either. I have formatted to FAT32 so maybe GT owners are shit out of luck who knows.

Just updated a few minutes ago. Since I didn't have the issues noted previously, I don't think this one is going to be remarkable for me.

It’s definitely FAT32 formatted.

Hmm, not sure what else it would be. I used an older USB 2.0 128GB formatted as FAT32 and it worked no issues though I have a GT2.

It’s definitely FAT32 formatted.
Keep in mind the majority of the people updating are on the GT1 and GT2. I have yet to see one person confirm it works for the GT

Here are the updated firmware and software numbers for a 2021 GT2, if anyone wanted them. My SXM now works fine, I can program channels.

My download finished today and the update went smoothly. Haven't found any new problems, so far. This download is 2 MB smaller than the previous one. (2018 GT2)

How long ago did you download yours? I have the same year and model and can't find the download online for it through their app they require you to download
2 weeks ago. The download app has a drop-down box that lists the available year/model.

I like the latest update. I always felt the Stinger was a software revision or two behind our Telluride, which has had the latest UI for the last 6 months, but now they’re practically the same.

Do you know if the usb drive is USB 2.0 or 3.0? I know sometimes USB 2.0 ports won't recognise USB 3.0 when it's inserted.
I hadn't thought of that. The drive is a 3.0. I assume, then, that the port in my GT is a 2.0?
