Navigation Update V14 due out April 20, 2020

And about how many megabytes would that be?
150 MB / sec
Edit: 17,753 Megabytes {size of Kia files}
17,753 / 150 = 118.53 seconds or about 2 minutes

And how long did acebluedolphin claim it took him to download?

Can someone check and see if they are able to download the newest update today?

Every time I try I get "Navigation Updates are being prepared for this vehicle. The service will be available ASAP."

Same for me when I went to redownload to an actual SD card instead of the USB I used to update initially.

KIA must have pulled it for bugs (like favoriting satellite radio stations causing a crash) or inaccuracies if I were to guess.

I just looked for curiosity and it's the same for me... I updated when it first came out.

now Shows on website that the update is disabled for Stinger as well as some other models until the 27th because of the XM radio issue that some people were mentioning on here.

if you look on one of the other threads, the update was pulled due to issues with SiriusXM presets.

As a sort of negative conformation, I hadn't noticed the SiriusXM problem - but then I only listened to Sirius about 30 seconds in 1998 or so.

Oh, well. I'd never notice.

Can you please post a pic of the new home screen with map/media song info? Some claim it's not there after the update, i use it all the time so i would be sad if they ditched that.
Sorry for the late reply - I don't get on this site very often anymore. Hope this is what you were looking for, not many characters shown for the station/song scrolling text. 20210420_174559.webp

Wow. Maximum Douchebaggery Alert. So unless you are calling aceblue a liar, what would his download speed be to download a 18GB file in about 2 min?
Wow indeed - nice reply, that. Ignoring the juvenile insults, the answer is pretty straightforward. Disregarding overhead, his download speed would have to be 1,200 Mbps - 10 times faster than the 120 Mbps line he said he has.

Lots of calculators for this stuff online, you know. Hope you're having a better day ...

Or maybe 8-10 times faster... Where have I heard that before? I know if someone asks me my download speed they are going to get an actual value not a connection speed. Again and hopefully finally, based solely on what he said, it is very clear he was talking about bytes and not bits. We know the size of the file and we know how long he said it took to download. Sorry you're so hung up on lower case "b" instead of upper case "B" when you had all the data in front of you (and he certainly never said Mbps). Sorry you missed all the hints.

Yes, I can't imagine where I got that from ...

120 Mb/s.

So far even those with fast internet services haven't manage to get more upload speed out of Kia's server - 15 to 20 minutes seems to be the norm. Hopefully he'll get back on and let us know how he made out.

Lighten up, Francis ... ;)

Can't save everyone...

latest update Sunday was a little faster than last one that seemed to take forever

ITA. Even when on the dedicated Radio screen, they reserved just a tiny area for artist/song title information, and even that scrolls between the station/music format. Terrible use of space, imho.

To be fair, the original version that came with my car used to never display artist/title information from the Home screen (which was also a dumb omission).
