Car porn. Love it!Took a short video of my MBRP with Quicksilver silenced midpipes, in case anyone is thinking of going with this setup.
MBRP sound is pretty well known at this point, I don't think these change that, they just turn up the noise a little.
I don't hear any rasp, so those little resonators are probably doing something, but the exhaust can be a little fart-y at that 2000-2300rpm band. They were worse at initial install, but mellowed out after a couple weeks.
Bonus points: they look like cats.
Quicksilver gets a B- for fit. They're close enough that I didn't have to modify anything, but are about 1/4-1/2" shorter than the stock pipes (forcing me to adjust the catback since I had it installed first. No hardware was included, which was frustrating.
They also hang down a bit more than I'd like (they don't scrape, but are definitely the lowest point under my car).
With that said, I'll be keeping them on until I get around to building my own EVC setup.

I’ve never noticed a problem with mine.Does anyone else have the mbrp exhaust sag like this? I wasnt even aware that you could see the pipes from behind until a friend let me know. Just curious if theres a way to tuck them in further.

I had my Stinger serviced at my Kia dealership yesterday and when the technician drove it around front he asked about the exhaust. Apparently it sounds "f***ing fantastic".

Hi Adam, How's the MBRP going. I'm trying to work out what to do with my exhaust. Did you work out why the plastic was melting. I see your in NZ also. Can we DM on this forum?I had my Stinger serviced at my Kia dealership yesterday and when the technician drove it around front he asked about the exhaust. Apparently it sounds "f***ing fantastic".
Many vendors do, but unfortunately, these uncommunicative Chinese sites are selling replicas of the authentic product that the vendors sell from reputable companies here in the states. We sell the Borla carbon fiber tips, but they are very expensive and a lot of people don’t want to spend the money for them. I wish we had more options available to us from reputable companies as well, as we would love to offer more options.Wish vendors carries tips, would be a great addon instead of relying on otfen uncommunicative Chinese sites.
Should be in this thread. I posted the weights when I installed mine. How much does the MBRP weights. What's the difference in weight compared to stock exhaust?
So MBRP weights 62lbs. Stock exhaust weights 55lbs? So is like a downgrade.Should be in this thread. I posted the weights when I installed mine.

Not sure where those weights came from and I was wrong, i posted the weights in the MBRP Catback + Secondary Downpipes. Stock is just over 40 pounds and MBRP is ~25 pounds. Where did you find 62lbs?So MBRP weights 62lbs. Stock exhaust weights 55lbs? So is like a downgrade.
