I don’t know, but to me the stock muffler seem lighter then the MBRP muffler.

Anyone think $1340 CDN (tax + shipping included) is a good price for MBRP SS?
Got mine for $1140 tax in delivered. T-dot was my vendor.

update
Some of the pics of install and after, video too. But stupid spam call cut the video out.
Went with aftermarket stainless tips. Look sooooo stock!! Sleeper!!
I did not test the inside drone, before/after aftermarket tips. But with the tips on, Maybe 3/10 drone. But i came from a stock 2008 Nissan 350Z before the Stinger.
Love it
It’s not as loud as a Borla, but also not obnoxious.
Just louder then stock
Will post video of the inside drone when I have time

And if I remember correctly, this is just the MBPR exhaust....you did not add any downpipes. I ask because ARK has a great Black Friday sale this month and may add those with this exhaust.

Jalcala do you have ARK down pipes?
If you do, any sound video?

Not yet...but they are sitting in my shopping cart.

Can anyone verify if these tips will fit MBRP? I saw the oval stainless steel tips but I can’t seem to find the akrapovic tips for MBRP on Ali express anymore.

Many vendors do, but unfortunately, these uncommunicative Chinese sites are selling replicas of the authentic product that the vendors sell from reputable companies here in the states. We sell the Borla carbon fiber tips, but they are very expensive and a lot of people don’t want to spend the money for them. I wish we had more options available to us from reputable companies as well, as we would love to offer more options.

Do the Borla work with MBRP or only specific to there own exhaust.

Do the Borla work with MBRP or only specific to there own exhaust.
The Borla Tips mount to the bumper cover itself, not the actual exhaust.

When the tips were 1st released they were not listed to only fit Borla. However, at some point down the line, they updated the listing to say it only fits on the Borla exhaust.

However, I know of many Stinger owners that have installed the Borla tips on aftermarket exhausts NOT from Borla and had no issues.

Well you sure have a funny way of going about it. I send you this "Now many $$ for us CDN'S delivered pls."

Get this in return

What? The product is listed on our site, choose CAD from the top, then select “Canada Shipping” from the drop-down menu, and the pricing will be shown.
Thanks,
David

Far cry from 13 above where you say "If anyone is interested in ordering with a discount, shoot me an email to sales@blablabla.

I did. So I guess there is no discount and you're full of :poop:. Or you're trolling for orders giving false Impressions of a discount. Either way good luck to you. I will never order from any attitude like this.
I know you're thinking "What". Oh and pls remove me from any of your future email spam.
Ut oh...

I’m really sorry for the miscommunication here. The email that I had received from you, mentioned nothing about a forum discount. I didn’t understand what you were asking about when I received your email as there was no indication of a discount, or seeing our forum post and reaching out regarding it.

Please understand that sometimes through email, tone can be misunderstood. We have many customers that reach out to us through email that need assistance with finding a product on our website, and if you don’t mention that you saw the post that we had offered a discount on the forum, (as other members of the forum that have reached out to us) we have no way of knowing that that is what you were asking about.

I am a hard-working business owner, and I go above and beyond to help any of my customers. I would never troll or give false impressions of a discount. If you’d like to reconsider, please reach out and I’d be happy to take care of you. Again, it’s easy to misunderstand tone through text or email, especially if you don’t indicate the reason for reaching out to us and only state this in your email:

“Now many $$ for us CDN'S delivered pls." (I thought you were simply asking for the price of the product in CAD, and was trying to assist you by answering your question)

***(Sent you a PM regarding this to follow up)
Hey there David I'm cncbilly (not really) can we discuss a discount please? I'm all about discounts.

Every time I get a notification from this thread I'm hoping there is actually a new posting about MBRP. :(
Nope, just another Q&A for K8 Stinger. Is it possible to rename a thread someone else started...

I had the exhaust fitted today, and it sounds great! Not super loud, but enough to catch the attention of anyone nearby. The shop said it all fitted together well, but that they couldn't tighten the couplers enough to stop a bit of leaking, so they ended up welding them.

The round tips I bought were going to be so tight in the exhaust baffle that I decided not to use them. I was worried that they would put stress on the rear by loading up a lot of additional weight onto the rear bumper, and maybe create weird vibrations (which others have reported elsewhere). Considering the whole point of them is to stop unwanted noises, I ordered some new oval 105x75mm tips that should be a better fit.

In the meantime, there isn't any unpleasant drone. It does get a little louder than ideal at around 2k RPM under load, but when cruising it sounds about the same as OEM (I have the trunk lined with dynamat and an additional layer of acoustic absorber). When I floor it, it's super loud. I also noticed that I actually get quite a lot of gurgling and burbling when slowing down, which was an unexpected bonus. All in all, would recommend. It sounds great and the price is right. Coming from a beautifully made HKS in my last car, the quality of the welds in the MBRP are a little lacking, but I guess no-one is ever going to see them.
I see you went with the oval 105x75mm tips. How do they fit? I was reading on here if you choose the oval the 63mm is what do go with...?

would these still work with the borla?
Are you guys really getting these with the LED lights in them?

I'm sorry I am just seeing this post now.

You sent us an email saying "Now many $$ for us CDN'S delivered pls"

I did not understand what you were saying or asking since there were some typos, so I responded by saying "What?" as I had no idea what you were saying.

You never mentioned coming from the forum or asking about a discount we had offered, so I would have had no idea you saw my post and were asking about a discount.

I thought based on the email that you were asking how much in CAD the exhaust was since CAD is obviously higher than USD, which is why I replied the way I did, trying to be helpful.

Usually, when a member sees a post like the one we made on the forum here letting customers know to reach out for a discount, we get an email more along the lines like:

"Hi, I saw your post on the forums and wanted to know what kind of discount you can offer, or something along the lines of that. Many times tone can be misunderstood through text/email."

Anyhow, we have provided over a dozen forum members with discounts on this exhaust, and I would be more than happy to continue to offer discounts to anyone else interested, just be sure to let us know when emailing what you are asking about and be sure to mention you saw the post on the forum offering a discount on your purchase.

I apologize you took my response to your email as giving you an attitude.
