Lozic ECU + TCU + AWD Tune

Is it normal to feel like it takes forever to ship? My ECU just arrived in Chicago.

Awesome awesome car. Has what I think these cars lack in many ways - a refinement of the whole package. I've complained on the Genesis forums about bushings, but they're just too soft and have too much travel. I can feel it on every bump and stop. Having said that, I'm enjoying true RWD-based AWD and vee engines too much to go back to an economy-based platform. :p

Nice story! Don't worry about Tork. You do your thing and he will continue to dig himself into a hole.
Today, I heard from someone else that I need to increase my options, so I'm going to update my order book.
I'll make a nice, detailed and versatile option. Description included.
That would be great! Customers will feel more confident ordering the options, and you will not have to answer so many questions ;)

Just got the new ECU with everything fixed. Took a quick 5-minute drive but can confirm no more osolation, the Boost control level is back to normal so the car drives stock, no high boost for no reason but still monsters out at wot. This time my boost standby function is off so everything is super smooth including gear shift now with the TCU. I'm going to give it some time to fully adapt but for a drop-in drive this thing is dialed in. PS mine took exactly seven days on the dot to receive just like last time. Ship Monday receive Monday. Not sure why others take long but I guess if it goes through Chicago there's a hold up. Mine passes through New York in a day.

Any chance someone wants to sell thier stock tcu? Dm me

is anyone here shooting flames with that ecu tune?

Just drove more, shifts are definitely smoother now with new ECU . Even 4th to 3rd downshift is smoother which was my jerky shift. Probably due to no excessive boost with low boost control. This thing literally drives like stock now without the excessive spool noise from the turbos as well. I have more of my exhaust sound back and more of a natural motor sound from the downpipes, but boost is still immediate when you want it and peaks on demand. Anyone who was on the fence before can rest assured this new ECU will feel exactly how you want it. And pressure 3 feels even better now for TCU with the new ECU .

Glad to hear that my patience will be worth it. I still might wait a few more months before I decide what ecu/piggyback I want to spend money on. Enjoying the tcu tune right now which should keep me happy for a bit.

Run way more boost than you should and overspin it. It grenades. Oops
Most failures I've seen either involved lack of oil, too much oil pressure/blown seals or something that doesn't belong in a turbo getting sucked into it.
I mean it is possible to overheat it to the point of destruction but you really gotta be trying to do that and you'd likely toast the engine first due to detonation.

Any update on the detailed descriptions? Note that I believe only the newer models of the Stinger and G70 have the Sport+ mode.

new ecu, who dis

Ohh, they even put a nice little logo on there. Fancy

If that's was mailed out last week you gonna love it. It drives perfect.

Installation took me 20m, not having even looked at the ECU or bolt sizes before this. Stupid easy swap. Again I have a G70 AWD. ALL STOCK. No intake filter change, A/S tires, no JB4 for logging. Nothing.

My options are as follows: 1.4 bar max, soft bubbles in sport mode only at and above 4500rpm, boost by mode (0.3 bar eco, 0.7 bar comfort and full 1.4 bar in sport).
  • Turning on the car the first time, there's a very small (1s) delay. I guess the ECU needs to adapt to the rest of the car's electronics (transfer VIN, talk to everyone, etc)
  • No change whatsoever to drivability. I don't have the TCU so the shift patterns are unchanged in each sport mode.
  • Eco mode feels rather slow lol. About the same power you could expect from an I4 Camry, but with V6 refinement and power delivery. Not bad, but not exciting at all. Just what Eco mode should be I guess.
  • Comfort mode doesn't feel much different from Eco mode if I'm honest. More on that below.
  • At first drive, I was underwhelmed by the power in sport mode if I'm honest. Certainly not $1500 worth. My history with tuning extends to Gen1 Speed 3's and mk6 GTI's. The Speed 3 did injectors, FMIC, DP and a tune all at once and that was a very impressive upgrade. The GTI's power bump from stock to stage 1 (tune only) was just as much, but a little more impressive as it didn't have any other hardware mods supporting. The G70 didn't get the same bump; the 3.3 seems a bit closer to its limits as a hardware package (displacement, turbo size, etc).
  • HOWEVER. On the second drive I got another bump in power, matching the first. There's definitely some adaptation going on! I pulled out behind traffic on a 45mph road and almost ran through the back of the car in front of me at almost but not quite WOT because I wasn't expecting the thrust! I don't know yet if this adaptation also applies to comfort mode yet - only been driving in Sport.
  • One thing I'll call out is that the boost control on this ECU/engine is excellent. My mk6 with the EA888 gen1 and MED17 ECU wasn't that great. Stock was pretty great, but the APR tune would overshoot the boost target by a fair degree. Made driving kind difficult - you'd accelerate as usual but when the boost comes on you'd instinctively pull back on the gas a bit to avoid the overboost, then the car wouldn't accelerate as you expect... it was a pain. This tune is near perfect, even at part throttle.

Yeah it was kinda like that (overshoot boost) with old ECU because of boost control. Everything is super smooth like stock now. But way more power and boost. Let it adapt to your fuel.

What is “installed stop go, ISG”? Also, is catalyst heating at cold start already in the stock tune?

G70's don't have stop-and-go. The engine stays on at a stop.

Catalyst heating is that tendency of the engine to be louder on cold start. I'm not sure if this engine has a supplemental air pump but the idea is to pump oxygen over the catalyst to heat it up faster. Just keep it on

I left mine on but my cold starts are still quieter and starts at about 1200 RPM now. Idk.
