I believe @Slip_Angle is running 1.3bar on 91 with the TCU and has done a 0-60 in 3.6Hey so I have a question for you guys.
I only have access to 91 gas here in Southern California, and I dont really want to mess with E85 as i have limited access to it. Do you think getting 1.3 bar ECU will be worth it? Will the power increase be dramatic enough over the stock power?
Also as for TCU, is time shaved off of 0-60 and 1/4 mostly due to boost build up during the launch?
How about if you don't do a launch? Is the shifting fast enough to lower your 0-60 and 1/4 mile? Or is it more of the gear shifting feeling that gives you the satisfaction?
Thanks!
LAP3 will run on lower octane. I adjust based on fuel. However, more octane = more power. You can at least run E30 and be good to go. Im not sure about LOZIC but when I was talking to him, he said it had to be at least with WMI.I’m very indecisive about with tune to go with lap3 or lozic. Reading through the thread and see people saying they have the 2.5 tune with no upgrades just plugs and intake going mid to low 11s. Just email lap3 and they say not to do that because of cars Longevity. Also I have a genesis g80 sport
As @CoconutRob said, they are both really good tunes. Weather was good to me, but I have a few passes in the 11's according to dragy (93 octane, no WMI or CPI). I'm fully LOZIC tuned.LAP3 will run on lower octane. I adjust based on fuel. However, more octane = more power. You can at least run E30 and be good to go. Made an appointment for Monday to get some dyno pulls. Just curious to see what it will put down and how it’s running.
1.5 bar, AEM drop ins, JA Scoops. Otherwise pretty much stock
Edit: on Shell 93
Awd and yes they do
I’m going to Auto Performance Modifications in Villa Park. Correct 3 pulls for $180.What shop and how much they charge? I assume, it would be 3 pulls?
I live in SW burbs and I don't mind drive up north, lol I used to live in Prospect Heights.

Just received a reply by Blood Type Racing. 3 pulls for $100 but they need to pull the fuse to do rwd pulls.
Nice... another Q,
- do you touch cam angles?
- also injector angle? Seems to be a lot hp to earn especially with injector angle.
- is there any benefit with ignition adjustments? Like more boost, less ignition or the opposite?
Did you change your plugs?I received my 1.5 bar ecu last week and just installed a couple days ago. I had made 1 test drive prior to driving to work this morning, which went fine. This morning I got on it in 1st and 2nd and it sounded great, spun like hell. I rolled into the throttle in 3rd @3500-4000 rpm and it fell flat on its face, sputtering. I emailed lozic and sure he will respond when he can. I’m just bummed, and scared something is hurt!
Mods? Plugs? Fuel octane? How are you logging to make sure tune is safe?I received my 1.5 bar ecu last week and just installed a couple days ago.
