Laughing gas, who will be the first?

I agree with your sentiment and a few points I've made could certainly have gone unsaid. But if you've been following not only this thread but the Facebook threads and others you'll see there is a common theme. John jumping in and spreading FUD (fear, uncertainty, and doubt) everywhere. While I do throw barbs his way every now and again (we're all only human) most of my time is spent trying to clear up his mess.

Wait... I had your ass blocked on Facebook, or did you already forget that? LOL!!!

My mess, yet I have yet to see any ECU maps posted by you to support your claims against me or what I am saying. Hmm, odd.

We share the same personal goal. We have another local who we have been using for tune development, he only has intakes at this time. He is running 12.5 with his Stage 0 tunex and we hope to have him running 11.9 next year when the track opens with Stage 2 and just intakes. Then, we will make an attempt to run 11.9 with the factory air boxes back on the car.

This would really make a statement for the community :)

Can you lay out what kind of mods will be needed with each stage when all the stages are done? Sounds like you will be able to do stage 2 with just an intake?

We are going to test it on a just intake car, and see what the performance is like.

Well, I should sell my dyno... close my shop and work from home, like most tuners do these days :)

I love to work with other shops, we actually build a lot of items under NC and ND agreements. There is a reason we have no VW or Audi items on our website :)

Last... where is the fun in working together? How does the platform get pushed if everyone is in agreement? We can all have our opinions, but in the end... its going to be the track results that determine who the clear winner is, right now that just happens to be us. Cannot wait for those records to fall so we have something to take back!

O.O this entire page back and forth. Personally I will never use n20. But Still I think it would be cool. I say the more things the merrier and start working together not fighting each other.

This all started (within this thread) when the O.P. (vendor) basically said laughing gas...who's first and then another vendor said I don't like it and no one else will either. Simple fix to all of this...so simple!! If you like something, say "I like" and if you do not like something say "I do not like" or if you don't care... say nothing. That's it, move on...especially the vendors.

I read this entire thread and it's mostly about the cheating piece of it and for some why no one would ever want it. Who in the heck thinks they know me and what I want?? I want laughing gas, I go and get it. There are some good nuggets in this thread, but the debate as to whether something is a "cheat" or not is a waste of time.

Bottom line; if your goal is to go as fast as you can by any means necessary then you'll go one route. If your goal is to have a daily driver that flies, then you'll go a different route. If your goal is to??? That's it...routes, what route do you (that person, that is paying for that car) want to go. All done.

Lastly, I'm hoping all vendors remember that while you are working hard to do your thing...so are the folks paying for you to do this. Don't forget the "customer first" mentality and leave the egos at the gym please.

Shouldn’t you just have written “I don’t like this thread”?

Also I don’t get this idea that Vendors don’t get to have opinions.

I just think we shouldnt derail threads. This could have been a good thread for people to read about possibly setting up for NOS and it has been completely derailed lol.

As I said, there are some good nuggets in this thread so I wouldn't write "I don't like this thread". BUT...as has been said a ton of times, the b.s. debating in the middle is a waste to me (maybe not for everyone).

And...vendors can have opinions, but they are vendors and their is a very thin line between biased and unbiased opinion when it comes to vendors. They are vendors because they sell stuff.

I’ll take an opinion where it’s easy to tell if there is bias vs an uninformed consumer’s opinion.

from a technical perspective nitrous is a race car thing only. it's not legal to drive around with a hooked up nitrous bottle in your car in most States.

Neither is WMI or even some octane boosters.

I would say NItrous is like cocaine and WMI is like weed ..... and onctane booster is like a cigarette ..... NOS is defenetely illegal here in Illinois to ride around ..... wmi is not ....

I believe both are incorrect, might vary from state to state, but :) You can drive anywhere in Illinois with NOS... bottle just cant be hooked in and open. WMI can be illegal depending on mixture higher than 50/50.

I do think if you got caught with either you probably have bigger problems as to why you got caught in the first place lol.

Meth is really stealthy, you can use your windshield washer reservoir for it and no one will ever know. NOS cant hide it unless you hollow out a seat and use that lol (HMMM THINKING).

NOS has got to be the highest bang for buck in terms of HP, meth not so much. Meth is alot safer if you dont know what you are doing with NOS.

I think someone hit the nail on the head when i said i have a big upgrade coming.... I think you can figure out what it is.... ZOOM ZOOM.

holy cow NOS.........you are on you your fast and furious lol......do it.....i am assuming you agreed with the drug analogy lol

Nitrous is fine and dandy but from a DD pwrspecpers I rather have e85 or wmi... what I'm really curious about is what were you doing for a fuel system on the 570 wheel horsepower car... because my understanding we don't have enough injector for E85 so we definitely don't have enough injector for 570 wheel
