Kill Tally

Just the basics, intakes, exhaust and jb4 on map 5. I found a new brand of E85 recently that seems to be helping it run insanely strong. I honestly feel I could dip into the 11s, if only I had the traction.

Rwd?

Took down an American icon last night, but, the W comes with an asterisk. I raced and beat what I thought was a Challenger scat pack but later discovered was actually a hellcat, using the black key (detuned to 500 hp, for those that don't know). I learned that last bit after talking to the owner, who told me he would never be using that key again, lol.

On top of driving it in the detuned mode, he told me he just got the car and has never really raced anyone while driving a manual, so he's still figuring it out. He sounded like an expert while we were going at it but still I managed to pull away from a dig and from multiple rolls. Put it like this, at no point did I see taillights or hear that amazing exhaust from behind.

It was fun for me, but we all know how different this outcome would have been if all 700 hp had been unleashed.

Yeah - you would have been calling 911 to help pull him out of a ditch / tree / etc.. :-)

I was interested in a Hellcat I considered a few things:
1) Drove a scat pack and chirped the tires while taking a very, VERY mild corner. Didn't want to live with that all day, every day. If it was available in AWD (SRT or HC), I'd be very interested.
2) Didn't like the seats / interior that much - felt too much like our Town and Country minivan. Which means I'm familiar with F.C.A. quality (or lack thereof) :-)
3) Was reading some of the Hellcat forums, and everyone agreed with one owner's statement of "we've all had that one moment where we had no idea how we got into this bad a situation and we all thought we were going to die". Didn't want to do that to my family and/or if my wife ever had to drive it.. Uh OH.

I think the AWD Stinger is much more controlled, even if it's not that much slower. Plus, newer design / safer. Plus, more tech, etc.. And the dealers around here just won't deal on even an SRT.. They want like $5K over MSRP.

What brand is that?

E85? I recently started using Kroger brand, or whomever they get it from. It's made a HUGE difference compared to the brand I used to use (Racetrac). The only downside has been the fact that my mileage has tanked, even when driving lightly or cruising (I assume because this brand has a higher ethanol content than the crap I used to buy).

I can attest to different ethanol brands having different mixes. The E85 I used to get from this station was nearly, indeed E85 (no branding was on the pump). They recently switched to Pearson E85, and I don't make nearly the same amount of power from the same amount, and the label even warns you that the ethanol content is between 51% to 85% since that's the guideline for E85.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Interesting. I only have the one E85 pump near me, so it's what I use. I think it says minimum 70% E85, so I figure it's always going to be decent, no matter what..

Add a heavily modded STi to the list. He had an exhaust, intake, bov, intercooler as far as I could tell. Stoplight racing, got him every time. I’d say they were roughly quarter miles. I’m still stock

Not sure how it happened, but from a dig getting on the freeway, inched away from a Jeep SRT8. And yes, it was the newer one, and yes, he was on it. He was actually a good sport about it, he didn’t do a flyby, he revved at me as he passed me after we both slowed down from triple digits. It was a long freeway on ramp, so it was a good run. I didn’t realize how much power those have till just now. I thought they were like Charger scat pack power.

They actually are rated at 10hp less at 475hp than the srt/scatpack chargers/challengers which are rated at 485hp. I have a friend with a 19 scatpack challenger and a cousin in-law with a 16 Jeep srt8. Stock vs stock if the challenger can hook up it will beat the Jeep. The Jeep’s awd is where it gains an advantage and they run high 12s/low 13s stock. Nice kill!

This has been a good week for me when facing domestic V8 monsters; first the hellcat and now a modded Vette. I'm not sure which model Vette I faced but it was a manual C6, with a ferocious sounding exhaust and cams (cams cause them to have that lumpy, uneven idle, right?).

Whichever model it was, I didn't think I stood a chance but I went for it anyway. Two races, both from a dig, both times I pulled a car length ahead and held the lead.

Love this damn car. Everytime I start thinking about trading it for a sports car I crush one in a race and it makes me want to keep it forever.

I'm slowly learning about this stuff. I had no idea the amount of ethanol could vary so widely. I read on the cts-v forum that the E85 from the station I just started using has been tested and it's as high as 83%. I'll definitely stick with them, since they're the closest to me and their E85 has really woken my car up.

Alright, I'm 100% sure, now, that the color of my car is intimidating people...

Three, THREE times a modded car pulled up next to me at a light this past week (a lowered Civic with loud af exhaust (I could hear it idling through my car); a lowered catfish Camaro; a Tesla Model 3 performance, matte wrap, lowered on aftermarket wheels), and NONE of them even tried me.

Back in my white Stinger, in all of those scenarios, they would either attempt to pace me, egg me on, or straight up gun it. My orange one? I took off like normal, and they did, too. They didn't even make a single movement or attempt to see what my car had or see if they could beat it.

WTF IS THIS!!!:cry: I've never had this happen before: the white Stinger was a like a magnet for this especially once it had exhaust... Everyone and their grandmas wanted a piece. But now, it's like I'm driving an actually fast car or something...:notworthy:

So I had an Audi A something take a run on me the other day, only really saw the grill. I’m in the forward lane of a staggered two going into one up a slight hill that’s light is about to go green. No cars coming the other way so good place good time for a little blast. I always look forward to a red there. Anyway, I see this Audi grill come up in the left stop then quickly start creeping to the imminent green. He goes, at about my rear door I give it. For some reason I start seeing his door go forward:whistle:. I remember quickly thinking “what’s going on here baby, why are we still here?”. She finally picked up and before we both shut er down at about 115k(70ish) I had him by a good car length and a half. Pilot error for baby scaring me, I had it in freak’in Comfort for some reason. I’m taking the “W”:) but it gets a brain fart asterisk*

Why is it sometimes the little one's want to challenge. A white Ford Focus the other day came along side at the lights, creeping forward waiting for the green, then took off, went after them, they were soon in my rear view.........sorry Hon, but a bit like taking a knife to a gun fight

Maybe it's the law of nature, Orange signals Danger? They were to frightened to try?:D:eek:

Did they experience the "Sonic boom?".

Our cars and the ones we really want to challenge can all do 140 mph+ on a public road. If they really wanted to challenge you think about how dangerous this could be! It becomes mostly a game of chicken at that point.

140 is nothing special. My honda wagon can get to 140.

Must be the same with HCR.
I've only "raced" with a seat cupre 280 hp (had one before, so i knew what was under the hood and Front wheel drive).
