Kill Tally

I have the Uniden r3 with GPS. Longest detection shot was 2 miles, CHP was sitting under a bridge shooting radar over a hill. Uniden seems to make good units. Escort is also ok it seems.
The R1 has the same performance and is a bargain, IF you don't miss the GPS features.

Add a new E53 AMG & 392 Scatpack to my kill tally.:thumbup:

The AMG saw me as we both were merging from opposite sides onto an on-ramp. He tried to get ahead and jumped about a half car length on me at the beginning of the on-ramp. I floored it and pulled about a half car length on him by the end of the ramp. It was a good run and have to admit they are pretty quick.

The scatpack was from a dig, but we both didn’t fully get on it until about 20-30. As soon as I heard his loud, and awesome sounding exhaust I went WOT to match him and slowly pulled a 1/4 car before we slowed for the next light. He gave me a thumbs up and I did the same.

It was an exciting weekend and swear I get challenged more and more lately. Think people are recognizing the Stinger and want to see what it’s all about. I was happy to show them how quick we really are and this car keeps me smiling everyday.:D

Probably best for everyone so you can focus on keeping this one between the lines :thumbup::D

A s5 tested me the other night. He backed off at 110 right before I almost lost my license with a cop sitting at a red light 100 yards ahead. Figures - the one time I get to really open her up with light traffic there is always a damn cop. He kept up behind me pretty good and I doubt he was stock either but he was easily a car or two lengths behind me but I really think he didn't want to press his luck either going that fast.

You beat him, though?

Time for a radar detector? S5 is the big bro of the A4 right? A4s are super slow.

I just use Waze, saved my ass a couple times already.

Not exactly. S5s are the mid-tier performance version of the A5 and are a little faster than the Stinger. RS5 is the top performer of the A5 line and is much faster than the Stinger.

A4 can be upgraded to S4, which is a little quicker than a Stinger, or (if rumors are true that it's coming to North America) the RS4 which is a lot faster than the Stinger.

Easiest way to remember is Audi's "A" designation cars are either a lot slower or a little slower than stock Stingers. Their "S" cars are typically a little faster.

A= You win
S= You lose/driver's race
RS= You lose

Took down an American icon last night, but, the W comes with an asterisk. I raced and beat what I thought was a Challenger scat pack but later discovered was actually a hellcat, using the black key (detuned to 500 hp, for those that don't know). I learned that last bit after talking to the owner, who told me he would never be using that key again, lol.

On top of driving it in the detuned mode, he told me he just got the car and has never really raced anyone while driving a manual, so he's still figuring it out. He sounded like an expert while we were going at it but still I managed to pull away from a dig and from multiple rolls. Put it like this, at no point did I see taillights or hear that amazing exhaust from behind.

It was fun for me, but we all know how different this outcome would have been if all 700 hp had been unleashed.

What all have you done to yours?

Close but not quite accurate. I agree the A5 is much slower and the RS5 is much quicker. However the S5 times are almost identical to the Stinger GT and its actually slower after 60mph.
2018 Audi S5:
C/D
TEST RESULTS:

Zero to 60 mph: 4.3 sec
Zero to 100 mph: 10.9 sec
Zero to 140 mph: 25.4 sec
Rolling start, 5-60 mph: 5.6 sec
Top gear, 30-50 mph: 2.8 sec
Top gear, 50-70 mph: 3.5 sec
Standing ¼-mile: 12.9 sec @ 107 mph
Top speed (gov ltd, mfr's claim): 155 mph
2018 Stinger GT
C/D
TEST RESULTS:

Zero to 60 mph: 4.4 sec
Zero to 100 mph: 10.6 sec
Zero to 140 mph: 22.4 sec
Rolling start, 5-60 mph: 5.0 sec
Top gear, 30-50 mph: 2.5 sec
Top gear, 50-70 mph: 3.2 sec
Standing ¼-mile: 12.9 sec @ 111 mph
Top speed (gov ltd, mfr's claim): 167 mph

If the race is from a dig the S5 will jump out ahead slightly, but then the Stinger will start gaining on it and will be walking away from the S5 by 70mph+ and definitely by the 1/4m(4 mph better traps speed). On a roll the Stinger should almost always have the advantage and will be quicker and quicker as speeds increase.

What all have you done to yours?

Just the basics, intakes, exhaust and jb4 on map 5. I found a new brand of E85 recently that seems to be helping it run insanely strong. I honestly feel I could dip into the 11s, if only I had the traction.
