Kia Stinger Price

A friend has just taken delivery of a GT in Australia. It came in at $48k, is actually 289kw and gets to 100 kph in 4.5 seconds. Kia have really understated the performance!

Is that even possible? The Stinger was just released in the domestic market (Korea) for pre-orders. There's no news of the Stinger being released in other markets or when Korean orders will be fulfilled. o_O:confused:

Hi Skyguy, any information on what options packages your friend got on the GT he has bought? $48K NZ dollars? Thanks.

On a positive note, the arrival of trolls means you're doing something right!!

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Tell your friend to upload a video of the GT revving and how it sounds when driven hard! I think everyone is waiting for this!

and any realistic info about consumption of the 3.3

Have a look at the 3.3TT G80 sport. TL;DR, it's not that impressive. Low to mid 20's on the highway.

Yea AUD. GT with everything. The thing even wheel stands when using launch control. He's thinking of putting some Hoosier drag tyres on the rear.....

And now back to real news...

My dealer just rang me (literally) to confirm my colour preference and advise that Australian specs will be available next week. This just made my day :)

Haha. Just having a laugh. Would be wicked though!

App_master that sounds promising. I believe in NZ we are a few months behind you guys. Xx

Sky guy are you saying that your friend has a stinger GT now? Where does your friend live in Aus and have you seen this car or is your friend taking the piss?

A loaded GT for 48K Oz $ is about US$37k. Too good to be at that price for us here in the US, where is likely to be US$48k.

app=master, congrats. I bet you'll get the red interior?

What are you going with?
GT in Red exterior, no doubt there!
I'm still not 100% on the red interior and if that is even an option?
I'm hoping to know models, features, options and prices by this time next week.

Damn. That's not too good if you have to commute 120 km per day. I hope they will do a Diesel GT version in Europe at least...

I believe diesel is in the works for Europe.

There was about one week between seeing the salesperson the first time and me signing the contract. He chased up through his dealership and Kia Australia what the estimated price is and if they can accept an order. The price is inline with recent Austrian articles and videos so I'm reasonably confident $50-52(aud) plus on road costs. If not I can cancel the contract.
I also believe that the car is in direct competition with the local Built Commodore SSV redline (Chevy SS in USA) which is a fully loaded car with a 6.2l V8 and is priced at $62,000(AUD) drive away, I don't think KIA Australia would have a business case to sell it dearer if they are trying to increase market share.
ive got a deposit down on a fully loaded stinger and the kia sales guy said it could be up to 60k - I said if it has a 6 in front of the price - they can keep it.... I'm keen but to push it past 60 is too much for a kia in my view

Congratulations mate, that's great news.
I've mentioned on another thread that when I met up with my Kia salesman on Thursday I asked him if I'd be disappointed with the pricing ($60k on contract) he said no.
This corresponds with your dealer so hopefully we won't need to be between a rock and a hard place if it's more.
