Kia Stinger Price

Hi guys just jumping in to let you know my current experience is, I live in NSW Australia and have put down a deposit on the gt stinger , I have been advised by the dealer of $58,000 . I Was told I will be getting there first stinger which is exciting, I will keep everyone updated with any news I hear from the dealer

Welcome, Kyle! Thank you for the information! Wow, we have lots of people here from Australia. Awesome! :)

Aud prices...
The BMW 340i and 440i start at $89,990 and $99,990 respectively in Australia. Yes that's $90k and $100k before you start ticking options!!! Now you see why I am jumping at the opportunity to get a Stinger GT at well under $60k I hope.

When you say it like that - the Stinger GT is one heck of a bargain!

Here are some more specifics on expected prices. Note that I've yet to see anything tracing these numbers back to Kia themselves, and this author seems to think that the name is just "Stinger GT", rather than there being a base and "GT" trim level. TL;DR; looks like about $27k for the base Stinger and the GT will (allegedly) start around $36k.

Some of the korean web journalism is hit n miss for sure. Could be translation.
Country of origin prices are always much lower than for everyone else. Seems to be just the the way it is!
Example, I think the Kia Cadenza starts at about $24k (usd converted) in korea but in the usa it's start at $32k ish. So basically add at least 25% to the prices you see published from korea.

Yeah, those prices seem really low but I'm seeing them posted around the web. I think we're all figuring around $42,000 to start for the v6 Stinger. Probably $32,000 for the one I'm getting. That headline title "Will the new Kia pack BMW M2 performance for the cost of a BRZ?" is some real sensationalism right there. You're not getting anywhere near BMW M2 performance for that price unless you buy an old car.

I agree, pure "click bait". The 3.3T Stinger GT is not running the 1/4 mile in the 12's at 113+ MPH nor is it going to pull 1.0g on the skidpad.

I believe Kia is slotting this car in between the Cadenza and the K900. The 2017 Cadenza starts at $31,990 and the 2017 K900 starts at $49,900. Stinger pricing will likely fall in between (overlapping with the Cadenza for certain configurations). So I expect starting price for the base model to be over $31,990 and a fully loaded Stinger GT will come in under $49,900. Destination will be ~$900.

I hate clickbait! :mad::mad::mad:

I'm sure the V6 Stinger will be fast and it will handle very well. Maybe not as well as a BMW M2 but probably close enough for most people. Especially considering the size. It's not even meant to compete with the M2. So that story is a little silly. But most far off is the price.

LOL! Hahaha youre probably right. I think itll sell good in California and New York. Maybe Florida. Right? The coasts mostly.

I would be surprised if it wasnt sold in Florida. At the least id expect them to sell in miami dade, broward and palm beach counties as well as orlando and tampa and their surrounding areas. down here in south florida i see the occasional k900, genesis sedan/g80 and equus/g90. people here like the korean luxury cars

32-49K is the figure a local Kia dealership said is the likely pricing range. Bamm1 is is spot on with his estimate. Presumably, a loaded 2.0 4-cylinder with all the driver assistance packages, leather, audio, and AWD is likely to be 42K and a similar 3.3 6-cylinder around 49K. What worries me is with all the buzz about the Stinger, and the pent up demand from BMW owners wanting to migrate, Kia might attempt higher prices, thus removing some of the cost benefit allure.

They need to be real careful how they price this. Especially if they want to sell in high volume unlike the Cadenza or K900. Most still won't pay $40k+ for a Kia. That said, selling a poor mans A7/Panamera/3 series GT is a hell of a bold move and I totally respect that. They just have to prove it's worth the sum of its parts to a lot of people.

I'm pretty sure it'll sell well in Florida. On my recent week's vacation in Orlando I saw a TON of Genesis coupes and sedans. They're all over the place. I saw a couple of K900s and a few Equus too. And I don't even need to talk about the mainstream South Korean cars. You're right. They're all over the place. Nothing wrong with that they're really good these days. That bad image from 20 years ago is long gone.

Those prices do all sound good. And reasonable to boot. I do feel SOME dealers might jack the price up at first. Only time will tell if the Stinger sells like that. If not I'm sure the price will come down pretty quickly. They don't want a new car like this sitting on their lots. That would look very bad. And I'm guessing Kia would not be happy with that.

There's nothing exciting or really interesting about the Cadenza. I don't think I've seen a single one of the new style yet. The K900 is their halo car so I can see why some people might find it alittle fascinating. I agree that selling the Stinger is a bold move and I applaud Kia for bringing it to market. It's a car that will make a lot of people happy who could not afford such a thing until now.

If the Kia dealers try to pull a "VW Golf R, Ford Focus RS, Ford Mustang GT-350, Ford Raptor, etc." with the Stinger by adding "dealer mark up" or "market adjustment" nonsense I foresee vehicles languishing on the lot (similar to the Mk6 Golf R's). You might still sell to the "pre-order" crowd but the general population, who might already be on the fence about a 40+ grand Kia, will not even give it a second thought.

Any idea on the pricing??

If you dig a little you'll find some older threads with some semi-concrete, semi-specific information. Long story short it should start around $35k and top out just under 50.

Motor Trend says $40,000 and that's probably the starting price for the v6.

I've put a deposit on one of the first to arrive in Australia Stinger GT's in Snow White at my local dealer (subject to test drive and pricing) and believes it will be "fully loaded", but time will tell what the final specs will be.
The salesman has done some research and the dealership expects it to be priced around the mid to high $50's so I've signed a contract for $60,000AUD (Drive Away) . If it's rrp is less than the lesser price will stand.
Contract delivery date is 10/10/17 but was indicative only and could arrive as early as September, fingers crossed.
You are my men !!!! love to do the same here but not in the best shape economically speaking!! Hope that shape improve next semester !!!
