I just updated today because I'm a sucker for updates. The first difference I noticed (other than the ugly purple color theme) was that the startup warning screen is much more intrusive than before: it pauses audio completely (at least through Carplay) until the "OK" button is pressed. It used to appear and go away on its own without intervention.
Another interesting thing is that I had just installed the 11/20 update a week or so ago. I was getting ready for a trip and I didn't believe that Kia would have the new update out in mid April like they said. Anyway, a few days after I installed it I noticed that my left side camera wasn't working. That quadrant of the 360 display showed up blue. I made an appointment with the dealership to get it looked at. Then this update came out and I installed it. My camera is now working again.
I'm concerned that these updates might not have a very robust way of verifying that all of the bits make it into the car's memory. Perhaps doing the update all over again is the best way to fix it.
I also had the 'no audio' bug show up again. Nothing from any radio station including SiriusXM. Nothing from Carplay except Siri's voice worked. The problem disappeared after I shut down and restarted the car. I turned off the function that varies the volume with your speed as that seemed to fix it the last time this happened to me.
One problem arose with my update. Every time the Nav wants you to turn, at the exact place it will ((((DING))))at approximately the volume of a .45 cal revolver! So painful it gave me a headache within 4 or 5 turns. By the time I got home, my throat actually hurt. Could not find where to turn it down/off. The Nav was unusable, but I couldn't figure how to turn it off out on the road. Got home and found the magic buttons. Pictures bottom to top, sorry.
Setup Sound Guidance Guidance Volumes Navigation Sound Effects (Slide bar) Now it's there, but you have to be listening for it. . . . .
Can you please post a picture of the home screen that has the split map/media info? Someone said that the new update lost that function and then a guy on reddit said that it's here but didn't post a photo. I always have the split home screen on so i just want to confirm that it's there before i update.

updated maps cause I just like getting newest even though sometimes they are not the best for me. Loved the last 2 for my 2018 Premium. And wife loves the sounds of nature. UGH
Kia took it down to address what appears to be a major bug with Sirius/XM. There's another thread in the forums talking about the update. I'm sure it will be available as soon as they work it out.

Those of us who updated before the update was nuked have the pleasure of contemplating the discovery of various bugs, not just Sirius/XM; somebody a couple of days ago said that the voice command for "points of interest" does not work (although entering an exact address/location does). More to follow, I suspect ...
Ok something weird happened to me I had the problem with the sirius presets not working but I got into my car saturday and the radio was turned off like it was reset or something now everything is working perfectly. I did give KIA my vin number and I was talking to them about what was going on could they have remotely did something to fix it?

I think these are just inconsistent behavior things: mine, since the update, is the way music titles scroll: nice feature, except that most of the time they don't: why they sometimes do is the mystery.

Has always been that way. The scrolling depends on the format of the file. Same with whether album cover art appears. KIA is too lazy to program the same features to work with multiple formats, since we know they do work with at least one format.

Patrick - I too despise the purple theme. If I understand you correctly - If I can find a older version of the card without the update, will my theme be 'normal' again (not purple)? If so, where can I find a card without the update and is that a good idea?
I have deliberately not purchased these updates because I use Android Auto rather than Kia's map system for navigation. I don't use Sirius or anything other than the radio and audio. But I guess I should check now. My software is 122S5A (from May, 2018). Am I missing anything important (e.g. Android Auto updates)? Any help on this would be appreciated.
