• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

Kia Stinger - Australia discussions (pre-release)

FINALLY!!!!!
Nice, so damned shiney i can see your ugly mug in it. Now you can detail. Sanity in the forum might ..at ...last..

Richard as you can see I ran the rubber strip after I removed that piece. On the sides I first ran cutting edge tape to follow the contour. then applied the red vinyl cutting it with the tape. then applying more cutting edge tape to the red edge I applied the clear vinyl to under doors and up to the bottom joints in wheel archers then cut the clear vinyl with the off the red making a smooth joint between them. The crest on the air intake is the Royal Australian Engineer Badge. It did show up on the dark back window so I put it there. I got every thing off E bay. I used screws to attach the rubber lip plus the double sided tape that was on it.
Madman it's time for you to enjoy yourself it's been a long wait.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Sticks looks fantastic mate. The red looks even better from the front. Did you remove the intakes to put the red on?

No Richard made a template with painters tape, cut it a bit bigger which made it easier to fit in the space and trim.

Very impressive Sticks must be your engineer skills coming out mate

Hi All, Slowly , very slowly the cars are coming!
Congrats and enjoy your drives. Love the pinstripes Richard and Sticks.
Thinking of getting the rear done, don't know anything about vinyl and so on...
Are these permanent and what sort of vinyl would you recommend, did you do it yourself or car wrapping expert!
1. Has anyone noticed that the side mirrors' view of cars is actually further than it is! Shouldn't they be a closer view?
2. With your passenger seat belt, had stuck a small (very small) strip of soft velvet/velcro (not the hook), but the other side. Can't see and fits well!
3. Initial tank filled with Dealer 95. Filled so far twice with 95. so is there or would there be any performance or engine issues if used with 91. Asking you guys who are actually using 91.
I know it is recommended by Kia, i don't want throw money around if it doesn't need it.
4. I am also getting a BLACK microfibre (very thin cloth) the size of the Head rest embroidered with the RED GT logo, why, cos I sweat like hell in summer.
5. Has anyone installed and DOOR SILLS Vinyl or LEDs?

Luv to hear your thoughts and suggestions guys.
OH, anyone interested with cars here in NSW, in meeting up say a BBQ as well!

Otherwise, I am enjoying the ride, drive and as Kia says, THE POWER TO SURPRISE!

Good stuff, in relation to sweating wouldn't the seat cooling help that? NSW meet up would be good, im not sure how many people have cars yet. I maybe wrong (And I'll stand corrected) but aren't the people who have the car the ones that ordered in Jan/Feb 17? Im thinking a lot of forum members are still waiting.

OZstung, you are right, yes I ordered mine in Feb.
Just thought we could start with the ones currently 3 maybe 4 so far and slowly build up a STINGER CLUB!
I can imagine it is going to take awhile with only 2 cars per dealer per month.
Will find out how many sold to date from my dealer.

Funny you mention it. My sister just moved to Hobart, the idea was to drive down and catch the ferry. But now January is out. The silence from the dealership is deafening. They told me new customers they're quoting 4 months, that has to be horseshit.

Last week I was in coffs harbour and there was 2 all black stinger gts unsold in the showroom I could not believe it
