3.3TT Kia Stinger Aftermarket Exhaust Information and Discussion

Cool.. many exhausts will raise the bar up in terms of quality and performance.

I don't think this will come out for at least a few months. they're barely collecting 3.3TT's for R&D. I reached out to them to see if my car could be an R&D vehicle, but they took awhile to respond and I already got an exhaust so that disqualifies me for that portion. I am reaching back to see if they will consider me for the downpipe development if they continue that route...

they have my car right now for R&D right now thats how i know.

Is the Bastuk exhaust available in the US? If so, anyone had it installed?

In the US not but I can ship it to you although I deleted all of their exhaust from my store as honestly the are way to expensive, nobody asked about them and I really dislike german way of complicating things for no good reason (there were so many options it got way to complicated) so after calculating prices one day I decided I won't bother with them anymore and I just deleted everything. In case you want to pay like 4-5k for exhaust and at least $500 for shipping let me know.

It's somewhat small at the moment, the number of aftermarket exhausts for the 3.3. It'd be nice to have a list, maintained. This is probably more of a US thing or so, because in Switzerland we're regulated to death with the legal options.

Atm I only know of:

- SEMA Borla ... with no idea if this going official?
- SEMA AMG Exhaust. A gag?
- Bastuck. Seems not to have that much roar.
- "Updated thing from Kia". Apparently there's a "sport" exhaust or so mething now. What I saw doesn't sound like much and is hideously expensive.
- JUN B.L. Korean thing I think, where I have no idea if this makes it to Europe myself.

My favorite is the Borla .. that thing roars. But it would have to have a "silent" option or simply behave in normal driving if you don't hit the pedal much. Nothing gets on my nerves more, than a sport/performance exhaust, that constantly drones and annoys on long voyages.

What was the total cost??
Exhaust with electric valve control & remote: 2.200 EUR (usual price) / 1.900 EUR (forum price)
Central: 600 EUR (usual price) / 520 EUR (forum price)
Cat replace: 800 EUR (usual price) / 700 EUR (forum price)

Ceramic tail black: 400 EUR (usual price) / 350 EUR (forum price)
Polish tail: 300 EUR (usual price) / 260 EUR (forum price)

Prices from OP are what i was quoted plus 300 shipping.

$2.830 shipped is a lot for rear muffler and tips.
Wow that is a lot for axelback. Most I’ve seen are between $4-500 USD shipped. I’m looking at the NGM Zeta for about $450 which sounds great and should be good for about an extra 20-30Tq.

Have you guys ever questionned the idea that the Stinger needs a louder/sportier exhaust?
I am on the fence for putting down a deposit on the RES titanium exhaust with electric valve control. I met the saleman yesterday who had it on his car and went for a test drive. It sounds definitely good from the outside, and inside no sign of drone at all (unlike JunBL), but even with the closed valves, you can hear the exhaust note, not loud but louder than stock (which is pretty much silent).
Since it is not 100% similar as stock when valves are closed, it means I have to give up the stock "quietness".. Is louder always better?

My company is a primary distributor for Jun B.L and I would be happy to assist. We can ship world-wide. Also, I may be able to request from Jun B.L to make one of their exhausts with no mufflers if you prefer a "race" type version that will be louder.
Quote me a price for that one please?

That's the dilemma, I noticed the quietness immediately and realised that is what Kia were aiming for. I didn't rush in but waited to see over a period of months whether I would grow into the silence.

I didnt so after 6 months I ordered the Ark grip exhaust. I believe I will be satisfied.
