3.3TT Kia Stinger Aftermarket Exhaust Information and Discussion

X-force varex, would be a custom set up, but the muffler doesn’t cost an arm and a leg

What's the cost going to be? Jun is around 2g

Was trying to see if I could just buy the Jun pipes and then add the Varex mufflers with the obd2.

Not sure but I think the Jun pipes are 600. Kinda surprised that no one else has made a evc

$600 isn’t bad. Where did you see the pipes available for that? Or are you referring to the down pipes?

Full Disclosure, I work in development at Thermal R&D Exhaust. This engine is one where an exhaust manufacturer cannot fake their ability to control sound. We love this car. We want this system in the hands of original enthusiast owners. I see there are a lot of drone concerns here, I believe our system is one that will address them.

Happy to answer any questions and offer discount codes to members here if there's interest.

Welcome! Thank you for signing up. Let's see what kind of interest you can drum up. Drone does appear to be a concern with many owners...

Welcome!...Glad to see ou guys here. Have you considered making an EVC exhaust for the Stinger? One that sounds a bit louder with the valve open than the current available one from Thermal, but quite enough when closed.

Thank you for the welcome!

We have a lot of development into valve technology, but have not yet introduced it in the Stinger application. Our goal is to get some traction with our system that works well with the factory settings and then expand from there. Possibly an upgrade to existing units in the near future.

Is there any weight reduction compared to stock on this system?

I like the sound of this Catback Exhaust System you guys have. Don't like drone too. Maybe you can post a video inside the car driving it, so we can hear how it sounds inside as well.

Welcome Thermal! This is the exhaust i plan on getting, My wife has been listening to all the exhaust videos out there and this was the one we both agreed sounded the best for this car.

The weight of the Thermal system is at 60lbs. Maybe someone that has the stock system readily available can help with the weight on that one.

Weight reduction wasn't a primary goal, though we were sure not to add any unnecessary weight. We wanted to make sure that first and foremost we attacked the sound without any constraints. I will work to get that stock weight and follow up when I have it.

Agreed!!!

That wouldn't be a deal breaker either way. I just know on my Mustang I save about30lbs.. those stock mufflers were heavy!! I'll give it a listen tonight when I get home.

@Thermal Is there any advantage of using clamps to join the exhaust pieces instead of the usual flange and bolts?
