JB4 dash map switch

Hi Terry et al.,

So, earlier in this thread and in the video there is a suggestion that the wiper stalk does not do anything in respect to jb4 map when the wipers are on. What I found out today messing with this is that changing the stalk to any value regardless of what position the wiper arm is in still changes the map. This means that regardless what position I have wiper arm set to, including low, high, auto, or off, changing the stalk position always changes the map. Is this the intended new behavior or should it be only changing the map when the wipers are in the off position? This obviously introduces problems when you simply want to use the stalk to change the wiper intermittent speed and do not necessarily want to also change the map.

So, IIRC from my pre-purchase research, there’s a setting for this. I don’t have the thread bookmarked, but I it sticks out cause Terry got a little pithy with people who “want to race in the rain.”

So, what you’re wanting it to do makes sense and is how I’d set mine up if I used the wiper stalk control. But they added the option to switch maps with the wiper on.
Use those keywords along with the usual and I’m sure the thread will pop up

While this is a cool feature I don't understand the need to constantly change the MAP that it needs to be done via the wiper switch. I hardly EVER change mine. If it's raining I don't drive like an idiot I can control the power with my foot don't need to do it by changing the maps.

It's a fun feature to have, some use it all the time, some may never use it. Just one more thing to set the JB4 apart from it's wanna-be competition. :)
