It's all messed up, JB4 map 2 stock gapped, with intakes only.

Doubtful but but the fact that after removing the jb4 essentially bringing a car back to stock it would barely run. I'm quite sure I must of damaged or burnt out a few with the increase boost what's boggles my mind. Now gapping them properly before installing the jb4 may have work out for a bit longer.

I did the same and my car barely ran. It was my plugs, new gapped denso's from Burger and everything runs perfect now. No hiccups, transmission.searchimg, power loss, all of it was because of these piece of shit stock plugs. I really thought it was something else, I had no idea plugs could cause so much problems. The first 100 miles must have actually caused them damage. Because even back to map 0 and having the jb4 removed the car would barely run after that.

I mean you didn't read on the burger page or even here before you bought the tune ??
it clearly states what you need to do before installing the tune ... you are lucky you didn't damage more your engine :confused:

Yes I read some of it but didn't think it would cause that much trouble so quickly. I also read a lot of people that used the stock plugs with stock capping with no issues, so until my plugs arrived I thought I would take a chance maybe not drive it super hard.

Your piece of :poop: stock plugs would have worked fine gapped properly.

This.

I'm running OEM plugs. Bought new ones, gapped properly by myself (0.026"), and I even trimmed the ground electrode even more than how they come stock.

I have a JB4, AEM intake, ARK secondary Downpipes, magnaflow cat-back exhaust, and VT snorkels. My car runs strong, not a single misfire ever, and I even pulled my plugs a couple weeks ago and they look perfect. Have about 3k miles on them so far.

Most people here underestimate the OEM plugs. By running the correct gap and being careful not to damage the ceramic during install is all it takes.

What maps are you running?

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Was running map 2, but then switched to a custom map 6. Daily driven.
I‘m one of those that underestimated the OEM plugs. I did what a lot of people suggested and changed out and recapped my plugs. I have Densos but saved the OEM plugs. So probably will regap them and use back in my car when my Densos go bad. Thanks for the info. Keep us updated on your continued results!

interested in custom map 6 for daily driving... how did you go about this ?
iam on map 2 and in traffic I feel like Iam consuming way more gas than I would on map 0 ... though I dont want to have to change constantly map0 - map 2

Factory plugs regapped are usually OK, but I still believe there is a quality issue with them. At least the earlier ones. Not sure if they corrected it. I've still seen regapped factory plugs crack along the ceramic.

So back again starting to have a misfire again, nothing like before not super consistent but I can feel it now I can hear it because I have full exhaust. Basically cuts out so the exhaust does a baffle sound like when you over rev in second gear pretty hard and loud not backfire though. It is only happened a couple times this evening but under 20 degrees pretty cold weather so I'm wondering if that is it? I'll see if it happens again tomorrow. I will log and run map zero and log. Such BS with all this. Intakes downpipes, mbrp take care of their months. Did run 30% e85 on map 5 no issues. No e85 running 91 change to map 2 when is shoes occurred.

Map 2 on 91 should be octane issues. Did you log map2?

Not specifically logged, it auto logs all the time constantly. The problem doesn't happen every time it's random but I will try to log it.

With all of these issues you are having did you send in any logs? Did you check the logs with map 2 to see if your 91 octane will work with it? This could be a octane issue as well. I would send in some logs of map 1 and 2. Also add some e85 and see if map 2 improves.

Yeah sent maps but everything looked okay, the e85 is a little out of the way 40 minute round trip just to get 5 gallons kind of sucks. Just don't know why it's so sensitive default chain is the if octane is the reason, it's not like we're running 20-plus pounds of boost we're talking 13 to 14 which isn't much, I think it's more of these ignition systems are finickywith the need of all conditions perfect to get them to run good . I will head down and add some e85 and run on map 5 to see if it still is having issues. that almost seems like the transmission is slipping for a second but I'm sure it's just the motor of protecting itself on a misfire.

I would not run map 5 until you get your issue sorted 100%. If you all e85 and map 2 is good then you know it’s a octane issue and then could slowly work your way up to map 5.

Yeah that is kind of what I meant to say.

Sounds like we are both having issues that are similar, but not exactly the same. Gonna re install JB4 today and see what happens

Well make sure you have the colder plugs are gapped properly. That was the biggest problem initially. The car was almost undrivable even with map1. I think this car really needs to be tuned on a dyno at the altitude I'm at to really get it right. I'm at 4500 to 6500 feet above sea level, there is no way in off-the-shelf tune and adjust that much performance-wise. And then on top of it to have a finicky ignition system.
