How to launch on boost

Isn’t a brake snip safe since you’re not running a piggyback? I thought the problem was piggybacks hiding load values from the ecu and tcu so the transmission wasn’t prepared for the shock load? Is that wrong?
I think thats true for general shifting but doubt the full power snip is safe for anyone but only time will tell.
My mellow snip was 2800-2900 rpm and 8 psi vs this LC at 2400-2500 rpm and 3 psi and this LC is faster.

Does anyone know what causes the auto shut off light to flash? It really screws with my OCD when I don't know how things work lol. I was driving home yesterday and the light started flashing and continued until I got home and restarted the car. Take a look at the attached document, it lists all the conditions for the auto off to work/not work but I haven't seen anything about what a flashing auto off light means.

Brake snip is a hack that works pretty well but don't drive around with the wire cut!

Because it cuts the brake signal to the ECU / TCU / etc. You won't be able to shift back into Park, for example, with the wire disconnected.
You can shift to park or drive with the brake ECU wire cut. If you take out the brake signal at the brake you cant shift in to drive or reverse.
I've had my crash avoidance freak out one time while snipped and slammed the brakes on. I wasn't going fast.
I guess the question is why leave it cut when you can add a switch?

Very true I was more just curious if it caused any damage. Once I get this tork tune running right I was thinking of doing the brake switch but I don’t want to ruin anything. I just want to do big drifts

Stage 2 tork tune launch is already as fast as the majority of snip launches, the slower pack of snippers around 1.75 60s, and more importantly the throttle opens faster than the normal snip mode ( no flashing A) so you are even faster to 60 mph than 60 foot than snip.

Yeah I have a switch, I just didn't realize that it was on (or off technically) lol

What really sucks is when you think the brake snip is off but it's really on and you try to do launch control lol!

Trying the ebrake method I get huge amounts of brake shudder around 2400RPM. It has been raining and the rotors are wet which is probably why it's slipping. Definitely was able to build decent boost though.

Electronic park brake question - some have asked about this but I’m not sure I say a good reply. Has anyone found an adjustment for the EPB? I did get it to hold 2800 testing last weekend. This weekend, it pushes at 2000...

There must be some kind of adjustment? What type of park brake do we have? Is it the style with shoes inside of the rotor?

Thanks in advance

Here's the shop manual. All you need to know and more.

Andrew Post on the Kia Stinger Owners group took some time and uploaded the full GT service manual from the Kia Global Information System site. I figured others would also be interested in having access to this:

Thanks! For whatever reason I go to the page request the link sent by email and never comes through. I’ll keep tinkering with it.

From what it looks like I am familiar with the design of having the shoes inside the desk. It also looks like there’s a rubber plug on the front of the desk you can pop out to adjust the park brake. I’m gonna take a look at it today. If that’s the case that would most likely be the cure for creeping through the brakes when using electronic park brake.

i tried to use the ebrake method and the ebrake stayed on???
