Exhaust Tips

105 is quite large unless we were talking about the oval ones.

I have 63x85mm. it only required very small amount of shading ,you cant tell once the tip are on anyway !
you can slide them through, no need to remove the bumper.

check out my post about the fitting

you had to take off the bumper or can the tips be slid off? if the bumper comes off, there is no electronic components in the bumper to look out for?

i just received mine and plan to put them on.

I just dropped the catback so that i could remove the tips, I didnt remove the bumper, installation only took like an hour (im real slow).

Once you drop the exhaust its like 2 bolts that hold the stock tips on, then I put the exhaust back on and fit the tips onto the pipe, I used a towel and my hammer to tap it on really snug so its all the way down then just tightened up the brackets.

Anyone have a working link besides these? Looking between vendors to see shipping and price cost differences.
I have a 2.5" exhaust pipe (63.5mm) so what size would be the best from the oval ones so that its' a perfect fit or requires as little trimming as possible?e
For no trimming on the stock bumper area you want size A out on the link I posted.

Has anyone had success in minimizing drone by just weld tips onto the existing pipes? My xforce fits about 20mm Into the existing factory tips at the moment would you suggest extending them say 100mm into the existing end pipes?
I am having my xforce exhaust tips extended to fit inside the oem tips.... hopefully that stops the drone through the car.. if it doesnt fix it..im not sure what else I can do to stop it apart from removing it and selling the whole system and going back to stock.

You'll need to extend the tip to the point where its close to the fake tip exit. The other option which most people have done here, with after market exhausts, is to get aftermarket tips. Theres plenty of links on here with tips to get.

I ended up ordering aftermarket tips from AliExpress from what I have read online hopefully that should minimize the drone.

The place im taking it to is going to centre the xforce tips so they fit perfectly inside the oem tips... I just want to try and keep the car looking as stock as I possibly can... don't need to alert those pesky cops nowadays...If this is successful i will try the AliExpress tips.

If there are issues with drone (or you just want it even quieter inside after aftermarket tips) even then there is a few things I would suggest:
1. Sound deadening with two layers - Dynamat type of material on the main surface and then the 'foam' type of material on top of it. See pictures attached.
2. The stock system has metal circles at the point where the pipe tips enter the exhaust tips in the bumper, it is very easy for your muffler shop to cut and weld pieces like that back. They have to be very close to the bumper beginning. This has a visual effect but also bounces back some of the noise that can still go up to the U shaped bowl that creates a huge echo where your battery is.

The solution in my post above did not solve the drone that was created by the pipes being openly inside the OEM Tips, it still creates the echo but sound deadening makes it softer and absorbs some of that.
My muffler delete will be getting new tips tomorrow so then I can report in how that works (in combination with sound deadening), if we can see that new tips are not enough then we are putting in tiny silencers :)

Where's the solution? I just see some casually applied material.

I'll rephrase that for your nitpicking purposes then: the exhaust tips are the solution for a large part of the problem, sound deadening helps soften the remaining part.
And regarding casual application, you're actually not supposed to put it in fully in countries where the temperatures vary as much as they do in Northern Europe, because it can strongly push any sort of rusting processes as it affects the humidity levels in the area. That's what a local shop explained to me. Additionally, current solution has covered all the really shallow metal areas where you can hear that they create a lot of echo.

Cheers!

When your tips arrives and you fit them.. can you let me know how well they work for you ?

mmm... I might wait and purchase these tips then get the xforce tip centred at the rear and fit these at the same time. The one question i have then, is what diameter do you get for a 2inch tip ? 51mm ? Then the exit side would it be 76mm so you dont have to shave any of the rear bumper off ?

I ordered some tips from Aliexpress like 2 months ago, tracking has been stuck at departed country of origin on 4/12/2020. I might just get a refund at this point. $140 just sitting in limbo.

The outlet from the xforce is 57mm and I went with oval tips that match the existing (80mm tall x 105 wide)
