Exhaust Tips

So on my quest for the perfect exhaust I've ran into problems with the tips.

The first set I ordered here

Real Carbon Fiber Auto SUV Exhaust Pipe Muffler End Tips For Car 63mm-89mm Gloss | eBay (Not recommended)

took awhile to ship out so I bought another set here

1Pcs Real Carbon Fiber Car Exhaust Pipe 63MM-89MM Universal Tail Muffler Tip USA | eBay (Don't fit MBRP, at least the four I received don't)

Sadly, when I tried to cancel the first order they said they couldn't because they already shipped, so now I have two set of four of the same tips.

BUT WAIT, turns out the second set I ordered were a little different, mainly being the inlet inner diameter was too small so they would not fit on the MBRP exhaust...and for whatever reason, the first set was mismatched in terms of the length of the "carbon fiber", (not that bad though, still wouldn't recommend the seller.)

That's just one dilemma with the exhaust right now...it's just a coin flip with some of these things.

Crazy. I’ve ordered 3 sets off of AliExpress all from different sellers and they all fit fine. One set of rounds on the stock exhaust and 2 sets, a round and an oval on the MBRP.

Can the stock tips be slid back on the muffler pipe to paint flat black or do they need to be removed?

Pretty sure there was a post in this thread where someone masked them and painted them on the car. Most people are doing tips though because of drone.

These (63x105) arrived from Aliexpress in about 2 1/2 weeks which is not bad considering the conditions. Installed on MBRP:

Just got the Quicksilver system installed and now the inlet is too large. I know it was mentioned somewhere before but has anyone used an exhaust wrap like this for the ends so it may fill in the space for the aftermarket tips? If it's not a good idea I'll just get a set that actually fits correctly.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
I wish I had gone with the oval ones. But I didn't know they existed until after ordering the round.

Thank you Snowy! i now have a shipping race between the MBPR exhaust and these tips - any issues with the install? Just thinking the exhaust will be here first and getting a local shop to do the install and myself for the tips..

Please update when you get them all done. I'm considering the same setup as you with the MBRP catback and those akraprovic tips.

I thought the 63mm tips fit the QS system?

No big issues, had the shop remove the factory tips, drove home and added the aftermarket ones. Big thing is have the shop center the MBRP ends as best as possible. Mine was a little off and the oval tips are touching the diffuser just a little bit.

Unless I got a different QS system, none of my 2.5/63mm or even ~61.5mm tips would fit. I got these from eBay and I pray they fit correctly.

If those are the ones you bought, I dare to say you got ripped off. $43/each with $70 shipping? Those are the same ones you can get from AliExpress for less than 50% of that.

Anyhow, I could have sworn the QS was 2.5" or 63mm based on other reports. I'm just going to have to measure to make sure I guess. Weird.

Haha no way I would pay that much, grand total with free shipping was $147, shocked they updated the listing to be much more expensive with such a high shipping cost. It only took 8 days for delivery as well which was very surprising.

These were listed as 60mm inlet and they fit my Quicksilver exhaust very snug. In a previous post I show where sometimes it's not always accurate on what size the inlet actually is.20200430_192416.webp 20200430_192520.webp 20200430_194643.webp

2.5”*25.4mm/in=63.5mm. So they’re quoting OD instead of ID?

Sorry, I believe they are advertising it as the inner diameter 60mm=2.375in. The other tips I have that are 63mm inner diameter are too large.

The ends are smaller, 2" i went with these and did a bit of dremel cutting for them to fit, look great, Type was D Glossy .

57mm to 89mm

Your Xforce muffler's end is 2inchs?
Mine is 2.5 and ive just ordered 2.5 inlet tips to solve the drone issue, im pretty excited to reduce the drone haha.

yes they certainly were 2" out of the mufflers, i asked the supplier who told me they were 2" from the muffler and thought it was a bit strange, then when it was installed they were to short to make it to the stingers OEM tips, I then measured with a vernier gauge to make sure before ordering and the tips fit like a glove. I guess they were short on 2.5" pipe for mine :) typical

Yea that is strange! Mine is definitely 2.5inch and i am so glad this forum exist and everyone has done the research into tips already.
Just ordered mine from ALIexpress and i hope they work in eliminating a majority of the drone. Do you get a big of vibration through your armrest in the 1.5-2k rpm range?

I haven't noticed to be honest, I press the "Reduce all squeaks and rattles button", then all I hear is loud music :)

Hi Typeface and Evenarris.. I think I may have been speaking to one of you on the Fb site messenger briefly the other week.. the tip of the xforce exhuast i have is 52mm/2inch... What tips did you order for the 2inch size.. and yes.. I have a horrible vibration through the armrest. Going to JHP in Nunawading on Tuesday week to correct the install. Would be good to hear how the tips went to reduce the drone.
