I have just fitted the xforce/varex system to the stinger... the exhaust does not go all the way to the tips.... and the drone is horrendous.. im thinking the akrapovic tip may be the answer to fix the drone.. it is a 2.5ich pipe through the end.. what size in and out would you recommend for these akrapovic tips ? Thanks
ok, read through 29 pages of this thread and everybody is talking about removing or loosening the exhaust to get to the tips. wouldn't it be easier to just remove the rear bumper to access the tips, since you do have to Dremel the hole slightly, that way you can add the tips without loosening the exhaust or am I not getting the reason for the exhaust to be touched.
So they are not 100% carbon fiber, but that is to be expected. Even BMW M performance CF parts are not 100%, its a mix with some other kind of composite.
If these were 100% CF they would cost 5x more.

Agree, but sometimes you have to circumnavigate these little issues. Trust me I sent a professionally yet stern worded email to Borla and all I received was a typical, "we'll look into it" reply. Do I love the way the tips look on my car? 100%. Would I recommend them? Probably not.
I'm noticing some AK tips on installs are sticking out further than others. I'm assuming this is mainly a function of how far back you are slipping the tips on the tailpipe?
