What is the difference between this tune and, let's say ecu tune from lap3?
My understanding is that this device lets you flash your ECU yourself (once unlocked) so you don't have to send it in.What is the difference between this tune and, let's say ecu tune from lap3?
As far as performance, that remains to be seen. However, being able to flash your ecu or spare ecu yourself is a huge gain for the platform. Much more convenient and less time consuming. Would allow you to have multiple maps/modes. Daily driving/Track Day/Kill Mode, really whatever you want. Has logging software I believe also. From what I understand, the EK1/lite should be compatible with all tuners. But those tuners (Lap3, Lozic, Tork, etc) have to be willing to play ball. Burger Motorsports is collaborating with SXTH on the tunes and backend flashing.
Only 2deg C ambient temperature, chilly day!Looky here what got delivered today! View attachment 76455
Very cool. Do you have a tune that can be applied?Looky here what got delivered today! View attachment 76455
I don’t. I jumped the gun on the preorder because I didn’t want to miss out on initial stock. Spark plugs are in the mail right now and once the next paycheck hits I’ll be shelling out for a stage 2 ECU and a TCU tune. I am trying to figure out how they go about the unlocking and reading the current file feature they advertised but am getting an error saying there isn’t a response from the vehicle when looking at DTCs and the Siemens Sim2K-260 isn’t listed in the ECU reading search function.Very cool. Good plan. They will likely sell out!I don’t. I jumped the gun on the preorder because I didn’t want to miss out on initial stock. According to the product page on sxth's website:Did they figure out the remote unlock?
Last I heard they were still testing it.
Please post on your progress getting it all going. A lot of members will be interested.Looky here what got delivered today! View attachment 76455
Have you contacted their customer support? It will be interesting to see how good that is too.According to the product page on sxth's website:
NEW, UPDATED ECU PROTOCOLS
We have updated our ECU read and write protocols to enable remote unlocking (no more unlocked spare ECU required) of the ECUs featured in the Veloster N, Kona N, Elantra N, Stinger GT, G70, G80, and more. We even added support for the Hyundai 7DCT TCU as well as the Hyundai 8AT TCU found in the Stinger/G70. Continued updates for new ECUs are also in progress.
At this point I wonder if I am missing an update file of some sort as I didn't see anything about TCU reading/writing on any of the menus either.
It crossed my mind but today was also a Sunday so I'll reach out tomorrow and perhaps we'll hear from some others who will receive theirs in the coming days as well.Have you contacted their customer support? It will be interesting to see how good that is too.
Is this regarding an update to the ek1 pro? If so, do you have a link you could share here or via DM? The latest firmware I see for it was back in May.Was able to contact Nathan over at Sxth who said that they sent out instructions about a firmware upgrade and it turns out it got eaten by my spam folder. I was able to update the EK1 but the firmware is only available in Korean on the download page. I am able to poke around using a translator and the ECU is now listed under the reading function. I haven't tried to poke around more or actually read the file yet. Will update when I have more time to poke around.
No this is for the new EK1 Lite. He also took down the Korean FW to replace it with a English one. Here is the links he provided.
