Over here there are either Small cars or SUV's mostly, then a small percentage of Sedans etc . Some of the SUV's and 4WD are large like the Holden Colorado or Ford Raptor but not as huge as some of your cars. I did see someone in a Huge US car, don't know what it was but it took up two car parks, was wide, looked like the flanks had been injected with Roids.

Could be one of those big arsed Ram pick ups?

I paid US$0.54 per liter on my last fill-up. That's AUD0.80 or UKP0.41.

When I take a trip that crosses certain state lines and will need fuel, I plan to fill up where I can take advantage of lower prices (due to lower taxes). I pretty much only buy from Costco, which is also substantially cheaper than regular stations.

Wow that's cheap! Prices in Sydney on their two week cycle range for Premium 98 RON (This is our highest regular fuel) $1.49 - $ 1.98 per litre depending where in the cycle you fill up.

Well guys and gals, it’s been a blast having this car but it has been officially totaled by the insurance company. Part of the unibody was bent and Kia doesn’t allow a patchwork type of job, which is good, meaning that whole panel would have had to been replaced. Total estimate for repair was $23,000. Car was valued by insurance at $33k. Today I bought the new Sonata Limited and while its not the same driving experience I will say that this baby has some pretty neat technology. It’s been fun being part of the hive and maybe one day I will return.
