Just installed the module and the first impression is a big WOW! In the App Comfort or Sport mode the car is more stable, the body more firm, cornering and braking are more firm and flat. I planned to install a rear sway bar but it seems I won’t have - the rear is not “dancing” as before. So far my recommendation! Would be good to play with the Custom modes a little bit but it seems the settings are more complicated

BTW I used a posi-tap to connect to the accessory power wire :)

Looks good. Is that a shielding or only a cable-protection-wrapping for the CanBus-cable?

Is there any option in the app to switch off the tune and just use the regular modes only? Something like Map0 in the JB4.

I believe this was discussed earlier - just add a switch inline with the power connection.

You wont be disappointed I'm still smiling here! any questions let me know..I've been enjoying Mando Sport + mostly Car Sport

Just awesome well done for releasing this package I'm quite content now and after 18 months with the car I'm more reminded of my previous cars and this is so much closer and and an improvement in many ways. Makes me think I'm missing an ECU addon ..stop it..

I'm encouraged to see that the application has two separate settings for each 'mode' - one for ride, and one for handling. I'm primarily interested in reducing body roll while cornering, and taming the known skittishness of the rear axle when upset by a bump mid corner. BUT I don't want to do that by compromising ride quality (i.e. making driving harsh over bumps and road imperfections).

The separate ride and handling settings would seem to indicate that is possible without switching back and forth between modes - maintaining a compliant and comfortable ride while increasing the sharpness and roll control while cornering aggressively.

Essentially asking the suspension tuning to perform like stiffer roll bars, but achieving that through increased control over the dynamically adjustable shocks. Can the current adopters weigh in with opinions on that?

OK, I will have to look for it. On the other hand the module is connected to the switchable accessories power line - I thought that when the car is off, the green LED indicator on the module is not iluminated then there is no power being delivered to the module but the module settings are still active and working after the car is powered on. I will check it but I am pretty positive that the last setting was still active after I had removed for a while and installed back the module power cable.

I am not saying that temporarily disabling power will revert back to stock settings. I am saying that if you have a switch that removes power from the module EVEN WHEN DRIVING, it should give you back stock suspension settings because the module is effectively unplugged.

This isn't about "reset the module" after 30 minutes of no power. Having a switch on the power line is like UNPLUGGING the module from power even when driving. However, that's probably hard to do while driving, so I suggested a switch. I hope that makes it clearer?

Yes, now understood, thank you. I will add a switch under the steering wheel.

Ok, thanks. Understood now. I will add a switch on the power line. Besides a guy from Korea (the one who sells modules on ebay) will ask Mando whether they can add a bypass feature in the app - it would be great to have such functionality.

Interesting info which I got from Korea:
I quote
"
The module status setting: can be set to enable / disable for the module is connected to the module.

Activation: vehicle restart
Your settings can be used continuously.
Inactive: the vehicle can be used as the initial (car factory) settings value when restarting"

The option on the picture shows what is called in the EN version "Module status setting" so it means that we can switch the module on and off. Interesting and will have to test it later.

Update - based on info from Korea I confirmed that we can disable the module without using any physical switch.
This is a feature built-in the app.

With the car started:
Module status setting - while ON will keep the Mando settings active (Comfort, Sport etc.) what will be shown below the Stinger figure.

Module status setting - OFF will keep the factory settings (the module is bypassed). You can change it on the fly but to see the status change you need to reconnect to the ECS10 and then the Mando setting will disapear below the Stinger figure - there will be nothing displayed. This status will remain after the car is off and on unless you change the Module Status Setting to ON.

After removing the module from the Stinger for KIA service maybe, the factory modes are 100% the same again and the car is working like there were never a module installed?

Yes, it is just piggyback tuning. You remove the box and that's it :)

Przemek you are fast i was going to reply after a quick test (any excuse i guess) but got side tracked with work.

Thanks for the info on the app i didn't see that option and it works perfectly

I can't recommend this enough and don't see any reason to go back to the factory setting - I used Mando comfort today for the first time this morning (I'm 50% comfort 50% sport normally) and it was very comfortable no issues at all.

My original rear bump steer issue, if that's the right term, has improved a lot not completely gone but improved to the point where I'm not annoyed anymore. There is one joint in the road mid corner right by my work that unsettles the car and I use everyday.

After a couple of days with it i would say its a big improvement without any loss of comfort and think the default Mando options are great - haven't played with the variable custom settings other than max all the way which is lots of fun.

Mando ESC = a better stinger and thanks again to xot1 for bringing this to the forum :)

Agree with you 100% but it is good to have the option to switch it off quickly when you need (for instance to show someone the difference) without adding any phisical switch :)
I believe I won't be using this option too often :)
