Canadian Buyers - How much did you pay vs. MSRP?

Which dealers ? Also, I saw in one of the posts above, somebody got a 47k MSRP. Is that consider a good price or not ?

I get it. I've driven it. I love the car too, its why im here. I currently drive an M3 Coupe. We are expecting baby number 1 any day so I am drawn to the extra space and the hatch which is wrapped in a pretty aggressive performance package. I think the 4-door hatch is a brilliant compromise for those of us who dont want an SUV. That said, I just dont want to pay 50k for it. It is what it is.

Congrats on the new arrival. I"ve got a black with red interior GT2. Got 2 car seats in the back. The car works great as a family car as well.

I'm originally from Ontario and am quite envious of the prices you guys are getting there (exchange rate factored in).

I just bought a white Limited from Cambridge Kia. It was my 4th dealership that day and the first that had the right colour in stock. Pick it up on Tuesday. They have been great to deal with so far. I paid $50k all in plus hst, or about $47.5k plus fees. As we were hashing it out, I just said that I didn't care what the fees were, just the total price.

i got mine at MSRP, and they gave me $50 off all the standard service intervals for life. No haggling.

The discount is on the website for cash purchase, but the dealers didn't seem super aware of it. In the end, as Jonathan Lasich pointed out, they have an invoice price you can discover on unhaggle.com. They need to make a few bucks, but if you look serious like you have a credit card in your pocket right now and are ready to make a deposit, then it may be worth it for them to approach their bottom line. Dealer inventory on the website was out of date, so I drove dealer to dealer and made some calls to find what I wanted. It's easier for everyone if the car is on the lot. I'm a bit picky, so that just meant more driving. If I did $47.5k plus most of the normal fees, and Jonathan Lasich did $47.3 plus a little lower fees, I think that's the target, until I hear someone did better.

Can I ask which dealers have you been to ? I did some research on the surrounding cities and not a lot of them have Limited on stock. Especially with red leather. Also, did anybody got the winter package ? The only dealer i've been to, offered me for 2100$ for it, however it seems a little expensive.

Grimsby, Hamilton, Brantford and Cambridge.
Next were Woodstock, Guelph and Milton if I needed. I'd rather spend my Saturday driving thru the country then going into the GTA. Next time I'd call ahead more.
My mind is full of stuff but iirc Grimsby had a white w red limited. Dean there was awesome to deal with, but they just didn't have what I wanted in stock, so that was a disadvantage. Honestly, I'd call around then get in your car.

Yes, you are right. To be honest, the experience I had with Leggat Kia in Burlington, was pretty awful so far. They only have a GT in stock and they didn't even let me drive the car, because they said "it is an expensive car and we don't want to put miles on it" LOL. I was about to walk of the door in that moment, but I wanted to see what they are going to offer me, from a price perspective. I asked for a lot of information (I am picky too) with warranty, details on the maintenance costs, etc. THe guy left and came like 10min after and he told he can have the information ready by Tuesday evening. Also he said that the manager agreed to drive the car and it is scheduled for next week.

All in one a pretty bad experience so far but I think it is a good idea to mail first before I drove to them.

The winter package apparently has 19" performance winter tires with alloy wheels. Didn't really understood what kind of rims but I believe there are the same OEM rims. For these money, they better be.

I'm on the lookout for a white GT Limited with the red interior and the best I've gotten is 53K after HST, and that's with my trade-in applied. I was only poking around, but I think I'm quickly approaching the stage of being ready to purchase one. Did all the dealerships you visited offer you nearly the same price?

I would definitely do 18s for a winter set up , more sidewall and much cheaper than 19s , and swapping tires back and forth on the 19 oem wheels will result in damage over time ...................

No, I don't mean to mislead. $50,000+HST. I think it was $47390+200 Paint +16 tire tax+ 100 wheel locks +1785 Freight 10 OMVIC + 499 PDI
My trade in I left out because everyone's trade is different. Also, I just sold my other car privately, so the offer sheet happened to be a little cleaner.

Yes, I'd never bother with swapping rims. 2 sets make sense.

Im looking to pay cash for the gt trim. Id like to get it at around 40 (plus freight and gst). Judging by the prices some of you have been paying it sounds like they aren't budging much. I can take it or leave it as I dont really like buying brand new and this car is under my, nice to have but dont need category.

Hmmm, after thoroughly reading through this forum section, I am intended to wait for the 2019 generation, which from what I read it's going to start this summer july/august. I believe the price will be somehow the same and hopefully they will fix some of the issues that the new generation had (rattling, paint, etc).

I just got my GT Limited from Lockwood Kia in Oakville. It was pre-owned with only 1600 km on it. The price for the car was $46,000. Lockwood also gave me the best offer for my trade-in (they actually met my offer). Props to Lockwood, they were great to deal with. Not only were they 100% able to meet my schedule, they did a good job cleaning up the car for me. At that price and condition, and the coincidence of it being exactly the interior and exterior color I wanted meant I didn't even have to think.
