Canadian Buyers - How much did you pay vs. MSRP?

@Jayphil - I think they made up for it on my trade in... my trade in is a 2017 Toyota Prius with about 56,000km on it... they gave me $18,750 for it, plus I save another couple grand on tax savings, so about $21k total... and I owe $23k in it at 2.99%, so getting out of that... maybe that’s where I am missing the little extra off MSRP?

@Bogey - I sent it to another dealer and they couldn’t beat it by much on a demo 2020 stinger with $6k ... they told me it was a good deal too but don’t believe everything a dealer says lol

so, is it a go or no go for extended warranty?

I wouldn't go for it personally, the car companies have a lot of loop holes they can get out of honoring the warranty. I would rather a winter tire package/service deal but it is up to you really.

I would second Orangeville Kia for purchase. Excellent experience there. As for your car. Take 2.99% so as to get the $4k off MSRP. With your trade in, interest on the loan will still come below the $4k if you take 84mths to pay of. If your going to keep the car go for mileage on the extended warranty. I got 84/200k for $3k. My last car(2012 Optima Hybrid) I had for 8yrs had to get some suspension work done. Everything was covered by the extended warranty otherwise I would have been out large.

Thanks for the reply fellas, I have decided to remove the 7y120km EW .... shaves off a nice chunk but I would be interested in getting an EW that covers me for the 7 yrs ... atleast with 150km or 200km ... may even do the 10yr/200km but have no pricing to work with... if anyone can share what they paid that would be a good starting point... thanks again all! very helpful!

Just bought mine. $50,455 OTD (ALL FEES INCL) in Southern Ontario.
Real invoice price is $43000 by the way. Not 47000.
I'd I paid 47000 pre tax and fee for this car I would've been very mad lol.

was this a cash price?

I’m supposed to pick up the car tomorrow, I feel like I am overpaying, any negotiating tactics/advice at this point?

I’ve signed a Vehicle Purchase Agreement but that was almost 2 weeks ago, they had to find me a car all this time ...

The other problem is there’s not much stock left, everywhere is sold out

2021’s will be in stock soon

If you can back out, I would. Paying sticker price dealer is making a killing. I got mine for a just a little more than Stingdaddy out the door. I took the 2.99% and got the $4k off as well as a dealer discount. I was at like $42k and change + freight and taxes

Kia of Hamilton is showing 3 2020 Stingers on there site

Nice car. Same color as mine. First 1000km vary your driving. I got my oil changed after the first 1k. Got the whole front end plastic coated for protection and picked up some weather tech mats for interior. How much you pay for the 10/200

i got it for $3200 + tax ... I was there for quite some bit of time and at one point just gave up trying to bring the price down and settled at that, I am happy tho...

how much you pay for the plastic coating?

they also tinted the windows but forgot the hatchback door ... anyone else not get the hatchback door tinted? I find that odd

According to them, dealer cost on the GT is $2K less than MSRP and on the Limited $3K less than MSRP. I'm pretty sure that's accurate as the sales manager told me that all he wanted was to be able to make $1K on the Limited after discounting it $2K. The additional discounts he offered up afterward. I felt that was fair.

People will tell you that there is always a "dealer holdback" that they get from the manufacturer after the sale, so he may very well have actually made more than the $1K he claims, but I wasn't about to argue.

I'm not sure how much I'm allowed to say, but I do work for a Kia dealership. I haven't seen the margins on all our vehicles, but the few I have seen, I will say they are TINY. My understanding Kia likes to give decent pricing off the cuff.

Many people are used to domestics. I had customers coming in saying a current Ford promotion was up to $9000 off the explorer. (Please double check at you local dealership for local pricing and promotions). We compared apples to apples with the Telluride, and the Telluride was $9000 cheaper than the website MSRP of the Explorer, again comparing features for features.

Again, Disclamer: Please do your own homework heh. I am NOT the final say in pricing and promotions ESPECIALLY at other dealers. Or, you know.... hearsay from a customer. I'm just a very new sales person and a VERY tiny Kia!

If you could get us a sample dealer invoice price for a GT and a GT Limited that would be handsome! Many dealer are showing to customers those but knowing in advance can help for negotiation.

So, can I assume based on reading the last 4-5 pages that a good deal on limited is ~47-48k otd before taxes?

This is a good deal if with cash sale rebate and crazy deal if with 0% financing for a Limited. I am assuming not a demo ( 0-50 km) and current year model as well...

I took a 2.99% rate to get the $4k rebate you don't get with 0%. Rest of the discount was from the dealer. I tried for more but he said he was only making $600 on the car, which i think is fair.

Great price! was this including any extended warranty?

Hi All, I'm interested in getting a 2020 Kia Stinger. It seems like they are offering 0% financing for all terms for the 2020 stinger. I was initially looking to getting the 2021 TLX but then realized how many features were missing and then I came across how much money I could save with a Stinger and still get more features for a less price. 0% financing is pretty insane. Problem is finding one.

Reach out to Orangeville Kia if you are in the GTA. Those guys are great and will find you your car.
