Burger Tuning JB4 for Kia Stinger!

I was replying about why the gauges don't work. I've never had a code, even when I cracked a plug, so I have no experience with that.

@Kamauxx I am another person who tends to connect to a laptop too. Something about that solid connection is pleasing to my mind.

not sure what that is. I didnt install this.
It has fuel wires.

OBDII is required for the gauges to work and the fuel control won't turn on without OBDII as well.

There is a little tail already on the JB4 ready to connect to this wire. It should be right next to the main one in the grommet.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
So... I found a station and put good ole E85 in it this morning..

On the way home from work, a white C7, lowered with exhaust sped behind me and started antagonizing..

I decided to try MAP 3 again with the new fuel..

Off we went.. I will tell you that he wasn’t pulling away all the way to 120+ and I decided to let off before it went south..

And so I get back into the throttle and back into what seems limp mode..

I had to pull off the highway and turn the car off to get power back.

Damn car was running great though and I am sure the Vette owner wasn’t happy.. lol

That's the no-boost issue some members mentioned on the n54 forum. V4 firmware was supposed to remedy it. Are you on v4?

Yes we took a guess at the range for it. Seemed to solve it in most, but if anyone is able to trigger it, just try to capture a log of similar conditions and email it in and I can work with you via email. Don't want to share too much info about what we're doing publicly as "the other guys" all read our threads looking for "inspiration" for their own piggyback mapping. :)

@Terry@BMS Just wanted to say that even if "the other guys" look for "inspiration" on your findings (which I totally understand where you are coming from) your customer support and willingness to improve on the platform is second to none. That is the cherry on top of the excellent product you have developed. Wish more vendors offered the same support and were as active as you have been on these boards.

Keep up the great work.

I couldn’t agree more.. so honored to be apart of this..

@Terry@BMS .. i sent you this log ... I think

I cleared out all the firmware and redownloaded and reupdated the firmware just to be 100%..

And it did the same thing on MAP3..

I will tell you though, just like anything in life, 3 is way more fun than 2..

I completely agree. I ordered a JB4 today because of the excellent support I see for not only the Stinger, but what I see for other platforms as well.

I still dont have this connected? Does this affect performance on map 2 with 93?
Yes. If you don’t have the OBDII connected then the fuel wires are useless and you’re missing out on a noticeable amount of extra power.

I had no idea the OBDII had to be installed for the fuel control to work. This isn't dependent on how we use the JB4 is it (Bluetooth vs laptop)? I really don't feel like bothering with the OBDII plug if I don't have to.
