Burger Tuning JB4 for Kia Stinger!

got her all set up logged in map 1 started car engine lights on. throwing codes for o2 sensor?
lil help?

Most common cause for those faults is failing to update to the JB4 firmware that is compatible with the fuel control wires. Could also mean you attached to the wrong wire on the sensor, or placed the wires in the wrong spots on the JB4 harness.

Also keep in mind codes will come back until firmware update is done so no reason to bother deleting before. :)

Same thing happen with me yesterday with the check engine light and terry helped me out it’s simply thanks again man great costomer service.

FWIW we updated the "production" firmware from v2 to v4 late last week. So at least now you'll only have to update the fuel value when attaching the fuel control wires, not also update the firmware.

The web site indicates changing the plugs is not necessary if running map 1. Is this still the case or has this been modified?

As is well documented the Stinger platform, both the 3.3L and 2.0L, is prone to spark blow out at both stock and higher than stock boost levels. At a minimum the factory spark plug gap should be closed to 0.026". Alternatively replacement spark plugs can be used that offer a stronger spark and are more reliable than stock. See the JB4 Stinger forum discussion below for our latest plug suggestions and JB4 map guide.

Spark Plugs:

Only map1 has a chance of working well with the factory plug gap. We suggest closing the gap on the stock plugs to 0.024"-0.026", or replacing the stock plugs with Denso 5346 plugs and gapping them to 0.022".

Then the web site should be changed that it is recommended to be changed. I don't care either way as I will do it, it is just a matter of finding time.

Not sure how much more clear we can be on the plugs. We suggest regapping the stock plugs at a minimum. Some people get away with map1 on the stock plugs/gap, some don't, try at your own risk. Generally worst case you swap the plugs if one blows up.

I'm struggling with the jb4. I updated firmware nothing changed the only gauge that works is boost. My check engine light is back on as well.

Do you have the canbus cable (OBD2) attached?

The same code?

I'm not trying to insult you but are you certain all of the connections are going where they should?

There should be another little connector from the other end of the box. It connects to the OBD2 port under the steering wheel in order to get all the data for the gauges

Yea but not connecting it wouldn't make the car throw a code, right? Mine isn't connected either, no code.
