Wow that's new. How does racechip and others do it? Sorry new at this. Dont mean to jump of subject.

If they are it's illegal and they are risking huge fines from CARB when caught and audited. The enforcement folks regularly read the forums looking for CA based businesses like that that are breaking the law. Beyond what is stated in my signature nothing else I can add to it.

Tried Map 3 tonight.. it’s still putting my car into limp mode...

No other reports of it, but if you wind up needing help just email in a JB4 log of the issue and we can help you that way with firmware changes until resolved.

Well so far I haven't had any problems with no boost after downloading the new firmware I'm beating on the car pretty hard on top of regular hard running and still OK on map 3 going to track tomorrow and will see if everything holds up just added some 260GT Sunoco race gas ( 5 gallon jug ) and going to top off with 93 tomorrow before the track and let her eat.

Well if I was you I would contact a family member out of state tell them you going to have that deliver to there address and they can ship it back to you right ?

Installing jb4 today went to download jb4 app and its $27.99? Would have thought the $600 I already paid would cover the app???

The bluetooth adapter is $140, app itself is $28. The app fee funds Donnie who writes and maintains the JB4 Mobile app for us. Alternatively you can use the BMS data cable for $35 and the free windows laptop software, to do all the same things only via a laptop, if you desire.

Cant use the bluetooth adapter without the app? so why are they separate purchases?

Many people use JB4 Mobile on more than one vehicle so this structure lets them save a few bucks as they only have to buy the app once. The pricing for JB4 Mobile was set around 2012 IIRC and has not changed since. Originally we wanted to make the adapter $175 with the app being a free download, but the split structure won out.

If you've having issues with the app just email in the details and we'll get you forwarded over to Donnie who's our in house app expert. Sometimes something as simple as closing and opening it again works.

Technically for the budged minded some customers also buy the app, but then use an OTG connector and the BMS data cable, so they plug the data cable in to their phone to use the app.
