Burger Tuning JB4 for Kia Stinger!

Burger has their own forums where people have posted logs.

Thanks for the replies ! I wasnt wanting logs or anything like that...I was just curious if the testers here were logging more than than their posts indicated thats all....prolly more going on behind the scenes, but from reading posts cause very few were logging ...it was just seat of the pants and cel postings...so im wondering how in the heck can Burger get legit stuff from testers if theres no logging going on that i could see.He couldnt get a tune program from the testers here if they were not logging of course....Terry is on top of his game from reading other sites...the jb4 will be the gold medal winner for sure! Wash

The experimental stuff we do via email, there is always a lot of data going back and forth. Otherwise, how would we know if what we're changing is doing what we expect? :)

Any idea when it will be out of beta testing? I am curious as to what you all are looking for before bringing it out of beta.

We removed the BETA designation a few weeks ago, I think. But expect firmware updates to roll out frequently as we continue to find ways to push the platform further. :)

EXACTLY and of course your dyno tuning ! Thank you Terry for the quick reply....ive been over at your forum reading all the jb4 postings for the stingers....so lemme ask you a quick question cause my eyes cant take it anymore...thats another story went to the eye doc today complaining of blurred vision since the new scrip I got in May...I almost go blind by 9pm blurred like right now...she retested me and she sez ooops i I didnt give you the right scrip...effin A...she was woman enough to admit her mistake....Okay lemme ask you are the new fuel wires connected in a stealth fashion? No crimps or clamp on connectors? If I were a tech looking for bad behavior from a customer with a broke motor I would be looking for wiring mods...right/wrong? Cause the jb4 would be outta there. Im not looking for max hp output....ive got a 10 second z06 street car for all out punishment both to the other driver, and to me...You know what? after the 111 miles on the Stinger im thinkin why do I need the vette? lol
regards Wash

Never mind....lol found install vid blurred vision and all.....Terry your products are first class! Wash

I was able to install the fuel wires tonight after work.... It’s so much damn fun now.. The car keeps getting better..

Glad to hear it!

Repost from the other thread @Terry@BMS

can you comment on some simple pros and cons of the jb4 vs ecu tunning? So far I undrestand the price, easy of install and avoiding modification of factory ecu. However, what are the drawbacks of a piggyback like the jb4 vs altering maps directly on the ecu itself?

FYI- Terry and others already gave very good explanations in this thread, “Piggyback vs ECU tunes--Pros and Cons”

What’s up buddy!!!

Nope, I ran into the overboost issue a week after using Map 3 without any issues which I thought was weird...

I absolutely plan on bumping up, I just want to make sure that all is right in the world using Map 2

Still using map 3?

So why is this not available in California?
California emission standards are among the strictest in the country, id recommend u email them directly or pm them

No tuning products may be sold within California until they have CARB approval. We're working on it but its a slow process. Running any tuning product without CARB approval in California is illegal. See details in my signature.

Wow that's new. How does racechip and others do it? Sorry new at this. Dont mean to jump of subject.

Here's a pic of the plate on the housing. Not sure if that helps.

Found this image online for the OEM turbo, so from the available images we know,

Compressor A/R 0.61 - 8 Blades
Turbine A/R 0.506 - 9 Blades

This was a bit tricky, all the Garret GT turbos I found online from the GT12 all the way to GT2860 have a dual 6 blade compressor wheel. However their is a new GEN II Garret GT turbos that have the 8 blade compressor and 9 blade turbine. Can't find anything from the part number but looking at the A/R sizes for both ends, I think this is bigger than the GT17 series.
