Burger Tuning JB4 for Kia Stinger!

Where are you reading mixed reviews exactly? 30% E85 is pretty problem free on the platform.
It was nothing in direct relation to our platform just some quick googling with bad results. So I figured if I posted here I would get a little more focused discussion or Information directed at our platform. Didn't mean to sound negative if it came across that way.

No worries just don't want to enable the spread of false information on the platform. :)

I edited the post to better reflect this platform.

I was going to update to the new firmware yesterday however reading couple of post here, will I need to make any adjustment or just update and go with it ? Iam only using Map2, never changed any boost # or anything else.

I'm running map 2 version 17 no adjustment other than that fancy new map adjustment via the wipers and 1st gear boost adjustmant. Seems fine

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
JB4 on the way! Should be here Thursday.

I went with the Denso 2 step colder. I plan on running MAP 2 all the time. The only "engine" stuff I have done is K&N intake and those SSR "mid-pipes". Everything else is 100% stock.

I went with 2 step colder since GA has brutally hot/humid summers and I traffic sucks so the engine get's heat soaked constantly sitting on black asphalt in 100*F 100% humidity.

@Terry@BMS Do the JB4's ship with that waste gate wire? If not, gotta order one. Whatever you suggest!

Thanks for the reply !
What is the "1st gear boost adjustment" ?
I will update then if it is all the same as before !

If any adjustments are needed we'll make them in the notes with the specific firmware version.

It's called max boost 1st in the app.

More info on the wiper functionality!
I don't see anything about it on the version description. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong place.

The EWG wires are optional and in BETA so suggested for more advanced users for now. You'll be perfectly happy with map2 on the JB4 only for some time I expect. :)

You can reduce the amount of boost in 1st and 2and gear if you are like me and rear wheel drive and a lot of tire spin

So I have a question and may be basic knowledge.

Obviously we disconnect the battery during the install. Should I install the plugs and go for a drive to get the car to adapt to those, then unhook and add the JB4?

Or do I just unhook the battery, do the plugs, JB4, and then hook it back up?

Also, when running MAP1 or MAP2 for the first time, should I give the car a few miles to adjust before getting on it?

I have a question too. If I start running e30 and then need to go to the dealership and switch back to 93 is there any way for the dealer to tell I've been running e30 if I've taken all mods out.

I didn't unhook the battery. Just pop your hood let your car go to sleep for 15 minutes (I believe I waited 30) keep your key away from the car so you don't wake it up and tackle the install.

The car doesn't need adaptation for the plugs.
I disconnected the battery, why not?
Start her up and rip.

I ended up disconnecting the ECU instead  I needed the extra space to get at the OBDII wire when fishing through the firewall, accidentally pierced the grommet with a coat hanger then needed to cut the coat hanger and push it back through the grommet (wire was already through at this point) Oh dear, it’s in now in any case. Disconnecting the ECU isn’t a terrible recommendation if you need the extra space anyway.

I apologize I don't remember reading this but is it recommended to upgrade the BOVs with the JB4? Thank you.
