Burger Tuning JB4 for Kia Stinger!

Btw I just lol at your post... “mr expert”
I screenshot both bms and n54 website... I didn’t make this up lol
Have fun with your tuning, we will read more on when you misfire.

Whatever you were using couple of years ago is probably obsolete and was revamp.
But eh... why would we want to follow the new instructions, I must be wrong.

So much keyboard warrior here... hope all is well for you!

YES I WILL SAY THAT PERSON IS INCORRECT.
Another edit- I must admit everything I see from Terry now does recommend .022 gap and looking back it's all I see from Burger now and for the last year.

RE-EDIT- While many of us followed the instructions given seems like Burger has changed much documentation to now read .022 and not .022-.024 as before..

There was a lot of angry typing yesterday.

I know... can you believe this ?:whistle:[/QUOTE]

BTW, I redraw the graph with units that are more familiar on this forum. (HP/lb.ft)
Remark: One must keep in mind that the L*p3 guys on social media mostly post PS numbers (slightly higher values).

Very nice and impressive results, especially with stock catback exhaust.:thumbup:Looks like the primary DPs definitely add about 20-30whp and you’re basically matching the stock turbo record right now. With a high flow catback and the right DA you may just break the record and hit the 500whp mark!:D

Curious what your “boost additive” & “signal scaling” settings were for that run?

No idea about the DA here.
Additive 80, signal scaling 90, min boost flow 7.0, RPM 3200~7000.
Is signal scaling important? What does it do? I always had it to 90 and never touched it.

Scaling just has to match the pump current flow, as long as flow is going to 100 in logs it's fine.

Is there any benefit from lowering it or increasing it?
For me, flow has always been 100 in the logs.

Nope.

Hi Terry,

20 millionth person to ask you to look at their logs. JB4, Map2, Denzo’s gapped to 0.024”

Thanks in advance :)

Hi Terry,

Outside of the 0.024 vs 0.022 drama, are you able to give feedback if the log I attached looks ok ?

Is it ideal to run map 8 with or without e30? Can you do both and it will adapt based on fuel or is there settings that need to be changed? I want to go WMI, I have the cart built but I don't understand the jb4 side and how to set it up without blowing my engine lol

Finally, a question I can answer.
It’s definitely not a requirement to use E30 with Map 8 (WMI).
In fact, the dyno charts Terry posted of WMI are done with 93 and WMI.
Running E30 should yield more power and more octane to help prevent knock.
The concern of blowing your motor isn’t a concern at all. Install it right and you’ll be good to go.

No I'd need to CSV for that. On the gap technically as long as it's not misfiring anything is fine. I've found 0.022" to be the sweep spot, but if you went 0.024" or 0.026", and it's not misfiring, not an issue. If you go too large and it does misfire then just means you get to spend another hour or two redoing the plug gaps. :)

Terry (and all),
Thank you for saying that, it's almost what I tried to say in my rambling yesterday.
I never advised ANYONE to GAP THEIR PLUGS AT .024.
This started due to me disagreeing with someone when they say you MUST pull your perfectly operating plugs gapped at .024. I disagreed so this all blew up. That's it. All I have to say.
Thank you Terry for clearing this up. You've always steered me right...
Now you have your thread back.

No worries. Attached to this post :)

Yes. Exhaust is next and def an intercooler. We’re not done yet. E85 next. All you gotta do is call the shop and we’ll hook you up.
@Crewdawg130 i live in Greensboro, NC! What's the name of your shop and where are you guys located? I looking to work with people who have knowledge of the Stinger. Wanna do plugs and JB4 pretty soon. Thanks!

Should I be worried about Trims and Trim2 having different values?

No that's pretty minor.

Is it possible to run map 7 with 102 octane Pump Gas instead of race fuel or will it damage anything?

The German Arial 102 RON is pretty good stuff but log map7 so we can evaluate to ensure it's safe, map5 should be fine on it though.

Here's a log from today
