Is there any issues with using this older harness? Could I buy a newer harness if it matters? What were the changes? Fuel wires would work the same and install the same?
Call it the detective in me, but this is going to get good.... calling it in advance.
Lol what? Yes I got a JB4 and I'm going to purposely blow up my car with it on and blame terry.
I know someone who switched to the lap pro and I'm going to help him sell this jb4.
Why the Lap Pro over an ECU tune.... that doesn’t make much sense to me, lol.

Data.
My friends Stinger is doing the same exact thing. Same “ECU_psi” fluctuations of 1-2psi at full or half throttle. Feels like a boost leak, or EWG Control not regulating boost properly. He thinks it’s stock BOVs failing from extra boost but your aftermarket BOVs wouldn’t have that problem so it must be something else. Just can’t tell if it’s JB4 related or mechanical because it basically goes away under stock boost conditions. Hope there’s an easy solution and let me know if you get any suggestions to resolve it.Hi all,
I'm pretty new to this tuning business, so I don't really know the correct terminology but it feels and sounds like I'm getting some stuttering when I accelerate - seems to happen under decent load and at mid to high rpm. The car goes from feeling smooth, to a little bit jerky like it's surging, and you can also hear the BOVs venting at the same time as the stutter (like shhh shhhh shhh). Also, if I'm cruising along and put my foot down, the car doesnt seem to pull very hard at all. It does the same thing on Map 0, 1, 2 & 3.
I've got Denso plugs gapped to .022, GFB BOVs, Borla exhaust, JT CAI and JB4 on latest v8 firmware with fuel wires. The attached logs are the best I could get on the short roads I was on today.
Any help would be appreciated.
The data itself looks "fine" for 92 octane, just seems like based on your dragy times is making around 20whp less than it should be on map2. First thing I'd try is upping the octane with a can of MMT octane booster (or a few gallons of E85) to see what effect that has on trap speed so you know if it's an octane thing you're working against or something else. The 11.98 map2 run is hitting much higher timing values.
What mods on the vehicle exactly? Perhaps one of them is having the opposite effect. Might be worth throwing the car on the scale to see what the actual race weight is too.

SSR Downpipe. Agency Power Intakes.
Plan today is. Add octane booster and test 2-3 runs. Go back to stock intake and test 2-3 runs. I can't see a way that ONE octane is costing me .5 in a quarter mile, but I should have more info at the end of today.
There is no magic in tuning and racing. Whatever the difference is will show in the data logs.
@Terry@BMS did you solve over boosting with catless cars? I see KLR is running catless not sure if he is having any issues you know of or did anything special for him like a custom map?
The v6 firmware had changes for catless, not had any global problems since. Sometimes cars in really cold weather with downpipes need the IAT wire added for various reasons.
Did alot more testing today. I don't feel like parsing all the logs and posting them unless someone wants something.
Things that might be worth sharing:
Agency intakes take .2 off of my 0-60 over the stock intakes. Verified with 3-4 runs with each on the exact same location, setup, and fuel. Stock IAT is lower by quite a bit(sometimes like 20 degrees), but hot air is better than not enough air I guess.
Costco gas is very questionable. My car was running way more timing with less pull on shell, and after going back to shell my times seem to be improving quite a bit.
Map 1 same setup, same location, same fuel ran about .5 seconds slower with stock intakes.
Map 2 0-60 : 4.29 - Agency Power Intakes, SSR Downpipe.
Map 2 0-60 : 4.50 - Stock Intakes, SSR Downpipe
Map 1 0-60: 5.0 - Stock Intakes, SSR Downpipe
Oh, I also hit a 1.96 60'! The slope was close to legal.(-1.44)
I have 2 questions.
What does average advance mean? This value varies by ALOT in my logs and I'm not sure what to deduce from it.
Let's say you run a lower octane tank of gas and shit all over your car. Does it take a while for the ecu to adapt back to being more aggressive, or is it quick? I want to know if my car has PTSD from costco.
