Burger Tuning JB4 for Kia Stinger!

The Stinger’s strengths play right into the way a Dynojet reads, too. Most forced motors do.

EDIT: All I’m concerned about is that 82WHP AND one of the highest TQ across the Map w/ these.

A better way to look at it is ~20% power gained with only ~5psi more boost.

Lap3’s 620whp DYNOJET RUN, only popped 540lbs of TQ. FFP’s car just dropped 540lbs on a load bearing dyno.

How's fueling on this setup. I'm starting to run out in really cold air. Any thoughts as to logo upgrade?

It's a challenge. We had to change from E85 to race gas and lean it out a bit to keep fuel pressure under control, even with the single nozzle WMI kit. It's probably getting a 2nd WMI nozzle in the future.

Alright so just installed downpipe and Agency Power Intakes.

Was driving around just doing the normal testing on Map 2 and I noticed a max boost of 20 psi randomly.

Seemed to only happen exactly ONCE and when I let off the throttle I think. I didn't get very good logs because it was raining and I was a bit worried about pushing it after seeing a fat ass 20 on my app. Can you have a look and let me know what you think? I know the logs suck and they aren't long pulls, but it's what I got atm, and I want to make sure everything is good to go ahead with some 1/4 mile pulls this weekend. I included the best pulls I could get in the rain in a busy ass city, and the couple that I red flagged as boost numbers higher than expected.

Boost is sampled before the throttle so if it's just a spike from letting off, no problems. Holding 20psi boost during a pull... right to let off. :)

Checked one log and it seems fine. You can open them with the windows interface to quickly view on your desktop and determine if any look out of line.

To me it appears it’s just surge. If you romp it and let off it’s pretty normal. You look to realistically be between 13-14 sustained.

Agree. Definitely seeing around 16 sustained. I don't know what Map 2's supposed to be at, but any fluctuation from that seems to be for a VERY short time and on dethrottles or starting a pull. Thanks!

@Blitz, should be around ~16 on Map2. I look to hold 14-15 on mine.

Hi Terry Where do we get the windows interface and its the graph like you post? Thank you
:) Wash

Hi all,
I'm pretty new to this tuning business, so I don't really know the correct terminology but it feels and sounds like I'm getting some stuttering when I accelerate - seems to happen under decent load and at mid to high rpm. The car goes from feeling smooth, to a little bit jerky like it's surging, and you can also hear the BOVs venting at the same time as the stutter (like shhh shhhh shhh). Also, if I'm cruising along and put my foot down, the car doesnt seem to pull very hard at all. It does the same thing on Map 0, 1, 2 & 3.
I've got Denso plugs gapped to .022, GFB BOVs, Borla exhaust, JT CAI and JB4 on latest v8 firmware with fuel wires. The attached logs are the best I could get on the short roads I was on today.
Any help would be appreciated.

GFB hybrid BOV's set to 50% recirc 50% atmos vent. 98 octane - tried two different brands, Shell and BP, both with same results.

I’d check for a boost leak somewhere (I haven’t looked at the logs though).

EDIT: looked at the logs, they are short pulls... Nothing over the top. I’d check all the connections, did you have the BOV’s before the tune or add them?

Thanks. Any suggestions where to check first? And what's the best method for finding a leak?
Best method to check an air leak is if you have an air compressor they sell the coupling to install at the charge pipe and listen for the leak ... take it to a shop to check ... if you don’t have the equipment it will be hard to look for ... easy way us inspect the intercooler and connections for the intercooler piping .... also make sure you blow off valves are properly secured and not leaking mine leaker because I failed to torque them properly ... I assume you used the gasket for the BOV
